The Amazing Race: We Have Our 3 Teams Racing For The Million

| May 2, 2010 at 8:17 PM EDT

Tonight the teams raced around Shanghai, China trying to be one of the three teams left standing for the million dollar prize.  The first stop seemed to be the hardest to find and the teams struggled with the language barrier looking for the Garden Bridge.  Dan and Jordan and the detectives searched for it together and the brothers were out there for over two hours while the cowboys and the models each took cabs and found the next clue fairly quickly.

Roadblock:  teams must enter a hall in the Longhua Temple and count all the gold statues and there were a lot of little buddhas to count, 523 of them.  Brent and Caite arrive first and Caite decides to do this because they want America to see that she is not the dumb pageant queen she was portrayed in Miss Teen USA.  If they get the count wrong they must wait ten minutes before trying again.  Caite is on her fourth try when the cowboys arrive and complete the count before her but she does get it right by the fourth try.

Detour:  All team choose pork chops which are stamps.  They must pick up 100’s of stamps to find the one with a pig and their name on the bottom.  Brent has to pee so badly and Caite won’t leave the detour to find the bathroom until he all but drags her out of there.  Even with this small delay they find theirs first and are on the way to the pit stop.  The cowboys are right on there hills but come in second for this leg.  Brent and Caite win a trip for 2 to the coastal beaches of Spain.

Louis and Michael perform their speed bump which was tossing a coin into the top of a giant incense burner and they do this quickly.  They meet up with Dan and Jordan in the stamp shop but unfortunately they find their stamps last and are eliminated from the race.

Get ready for the finale next week and see who wins the million dollars.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains – Amanda Voted Off

| April 30, 2010 at 8:45 AM EDT

Amanda Kimmel has outlasted everyone in the game of survivor but her dreams of winning the million dollar prize came to an end last night as she became the fourth member of our jury giving Parvati the opportunity to be the longest playing Survivor.

Amanda reached her 100 days of the game a couple of weeks ago with Parvati right on her heels.  Now that she has been voted out Parvati will take that crown.

I must say I was disappointed with the supposed catfight between Danielle and Amanda.  I thought they were going to go at it and really fight for that clue but Colby intervenes and tells Amanda to give it back.  What is that about?  If I was Amanda, no way I would have given her back the clue.  I would have read it outloud and then ripped it into a million pieces.  This is a game for a million dollars and no one is playing well except for the Villains.  What has happened to the all stars on the heroes side?  That whole scene was pathetic and if Amanda had read the clue she could have found the idol and not be sitting in the Ponderosa right now.  One dumbass move after another from the heroes.

Russell made another game changing move this week by singling out Candice and bringing her over to his side.  His ability to read people and know exactly where the weakness is on the other team is a gift and great game play.  Russell also finds the idol and doesn’t tell Danielle and Parvati about it.  A little payback from what they did to him last week.

At Tribal Council Courtney was acting crazy.  She was laughing at Parvati, pretending to throw up at Russell, she was brash toward Jeff when he went to tally the votes and went buck wild when Russ wasted the idol.  It was definitely something to see.  Obviously her disdain for the king and queen of the game is growing.

Amanda is voted out in a 6-3 vote with Parvati receiving the other three.  Next week it looks like Russ will be scrambling as the queen will try to take over with her loyal maidens.

American Idol: Siobhan Magnus Voted Off

| April 28, 2010 at 9:36 PM EDT

Siobhan Magnus, the girl best known for her loud screech at the end of each song, was eliminated from American Idol Season 9 tonight and I say about time.  There wasn’t much about the girl  I liked, from the way she dressed, to how she sang, to her talking back to the judges when they critiqued her.  It’s about time and good riddance.

Joining Siobhan in the bottom three were Big Mike Lynche and Casey James.  Casey James was a shocker because he was by far the best last night but people aren’t voting for the guy and I don’t understand it.  Casey fans needs to stop being complacent and start picking up the phone to vote, vote, vote!  Can you tell I’m a little biased toward Casey lol?  He is my eye candy on the show this season so let’s see if we can keep him and get him to the finale.  Are you with me America?

Big Brother 9: Matt McDonald Indicted by Feds

| April 28, 2010 at 9:47 AM EDT

Matt McDonald (Big Brother 9) was arrested on April 18th for punching his pregnant fiance in the face and kicked her repeatedly, dragging her around their apartment and tried to strangle her.  He supposedly told the fiance that he hoped the baby dies. She and her family has received threats from McDonald with his intention on having them drop the charges.

Today McDonald was indicted by the feds for being a part of Adam Jasinski’s drug ring.  Adam was the Season 9 winner of Big Brother and was jailed back in October for possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute.  McDonald was allegedly involved in the ring from April 2008 – October 2009 and faces a possible 20 years in prison and 1 million dollars in fines.  He was also separately arrested today for threatening his fiance.  What a douce!  I always thought something was wrong with this guy after seeing him mentally abuse his bb 9 partner Natalie Cunial.

Jake and Chelsie, OUT on Dancing with the Stars!

| April 28, 2010 at 6:46 AM EDT

Oh cry me a freakin river Jake! Well..TRY to cry me a river! I didn’t actually see tears roll..but come on already, Man the F up!! LOL..Sorry but I’m always a little hard on the fellas when they cry on TV, and Jake gets no pass from me! I think the real reason he’s so upset is because his 15 minutes are JUST about up! Oh wait..if him and Vienna get married, I’m sure there will some kind of TV special about it! I won’t see it, so you’ll have to tell me how that went!

Actress Niecy Nash and Louis Van Amstel, skater Evan Lysacek(Who’s real hair strangely looks like a wig!) and Anna Trebunskaya, actress Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood, singer Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough, sportscaster Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovsky and NFL star Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke will return to next Monday’s seventh week of competition.

BTW, our very own Ashley is on FIRE with her picks lately! I believe she was the 1st to say, “Kate and Jake need to go!” I was thrilled to death to see Kate leave, and just as happy to Jake go!

His performances were luke warm at best, I think he was more impressed with himself than the fans were and I think he got numerous free passes from the judges when he didn’t deserve such high praise!

How many times did he almost slip and fall in the competition? Monday was just the latest mistake when the stairs got in the way of his feet and he almost blew it once again! He held it together, I’ll give him that much but it was hardly good dancing! I’m sticking to my claim that his partner Chelsie isn’t a big Jake fan…nope, not so much! I’ll miss her WAY more than him! Little Chelsie’s gone..I think I’ll cry about it…lol

I think Pamela’s time is almost over..then that will be the shows “Big 3” gone! THEN let’s see how the ratings are! This week was another so-so dance week for me! Samba and Argentine Tango..oh yay! The little sockhop marathon style thing was lame too! They need to step up the dances to keep my interest..you?

I thought the Sports Science segment was pretty cool! I’d like to see more of that! Maybe even have the judges show specifically what they’re talking about, when they talk about the technical part of the dance! I hope to see some more of that, cuz dance really should be respected! It’s not easy people!

If I have to say anything good about Jake is, he at least seemed to give it his all..even if his all wasn’t good enough! Kate was just an embarrasment to the show, and while I don’t think Jake is half as bad as Kate, he IS a little corny for me! I don’t like or dislike the guy, but I can’t bear seeing him in his underwear again! LOL..

Little side note for Jake! It’s Dancing with THE Stars, not Dancing with Stars! It’s hardly the best season ever and you mention the Dallas Mavericks not once but twice? Yeah guy…they’re on the verge of another playoff flameout! Kinda how Jake’s TV flame is almost out!
