Last night on MasterChef 2014 Season 5, we started with another team challenge, which had the home cooks heading to the football field to make all the concessions for the football fans! Jaimee and Courtney were team captains and got to pick the teams for their opponents! Jaimee, as much as I like her, is not a team leader and is so quiet and soft. Her team fell apart and was a hot mess, but we had Elizabeth take over and start calling out orders to get everyone on the same page.

The rumors are spreading and thinking we may have a double elimination on MasterChef 2014 tonight! Not sure if that is true, but we should have an exciting episode tonight on Master Chef 2014, as the home cooks take the field and prepare food for a football game! They will not only be having to cook food, but also fight the rain on MasterChef Season 5! Last week on MasterChef 2014 Season 5, the home cooks got the choice of two Mystery Boxes for the first time ever on the show. They could choose from normal, everyday items you would have in your house or the same items, but the luxury versions of those items. We saw Leslie win his first Mystery Box and pick which stuffed pasta the other home cooks would make. In the end, the judges were not impressed with the pasta that Francis L. came up with and he was sent home, leaving us with ten home cooks on MasterChef Season 5!

We saw the dramatic ending to a fun season on Food Network Star 2014, as the winner of Food Network Star Season 10 was announced last night and we could not be any happier that is was Lenny McNab who took home the victory. Lenny was one of our favorites all season long and knew he had a big fan base out there, but were unsure if he could take down Luca Della Casa and Nicole Gaffney along the way. We got a chance to chat with the winner of Next Food Network Star 2014 today and discuss his time on the show and what we can expect from Lenny next! Todd, Reality Rewind: What made you try out for Food Network Star 2014?
Lenny: I was invited to go on Guy Fieri’s new television show called Guy’s Grocery Games and I lost in impeccable style right in the final round. I undercooked a lamb and I went down for the count. As I was saying goodbye to everyone and was checking out of the grocery store, Guy Fieri came up to me and said “Lenny, this is not the last Food Network is going to see of you.” He inspired me so much at that moment that I immediately put in my application for Food Network Star. And here I am a winner. Is that insane, or what?
