Did you miss last night’s episode of The Voice on NBC? The season 3 Blind Auditions continued last night in episode 6 when the coaches, Adam, Blake, CeeLo, and Christina, all aimed to expand their teams and up their chances of the big win this season.

There were a handful of stand outs including Diego Val, Michelle Brooks-Thompson, Dez Duron, and Jordan Pruitt, but instead of just watching the highlights reel over at The Voice Fandom you can watch the entire episode right now.

The whole episode, the sixth in the third season, was actually pretty busy and feisty at times with a lot of play by the coaches. We even saw CeeLo get up and duet with one of the singers who did not make the cut. TVLine had a pretty good summary of the evening’s fun:

Things got a little rough and tumble on Monday night’s installment of The Voice. Blake Shelton asked a sassy singer to punch him in the face, Christina Aguilera lamented the lack of “spank” in a contestant’s delivery, and Cee Lo Green tried to incite the female members of the audience to riot.

We’ll have to see if tonight’s next episode of The Voice 2012 has the same spark.

Coaches Adam, Cee Lo, Christina, and Blake are still fighting to amass an army to take on to the Battle Rounds.

NBC has released a preview of tonight’s fifth episode for the third season. No big spoilers in these clips, but it does look like Christina makes a mistake in going tunnel visioned and not realizing she wasn’t the only coach to punch in for the singer.

What genre of singers are you hoping to see more of on tonight’s show? We haven’t seen a lot of country singers this season, or at least we’re not seeing them in the auditions, but maybe they’ll show up later.

I’m also surprised that only two duets have made the cut so far. It’s a daring approach since we haven’t really seen many of those go too far in the series. But then again with so many people on each team this year it’s hard to be sure what will work this time around.

Move over, Christina and Cee Lo. No really, move over. NBC has hired on two new coaches for the next season of The Voice and they’ll be taking the place of the two center chairs for season 4.

Usher and Shakira will fill in for the first 2013 season next spring while Christina and Cee Lo both take a break for other adventures. But don’t worry because Adam and Blake will both be back.

Word is that Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will return after one season off, but it’ll be interesting to see if Adam and Blake then take their turns from the spinning chairs.

We knew it was coming, but it seemed so ridiculous that I’ve avoided the topic. American Idol for 2013 has confirmed its line up for judges at the table. Sure enough, Nicki Minaj will be joining the panel along with Keith Urban. Previously confirmed judges included Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson.

Just a glance at the photo above makes me laugh. Nicki Minaj looks like some sort of comic relief clown they’ve brought in as a gag. But no, it’s no gag. She’s a real judge and earning real big bucks.

Rumors have it that Keith Urban will earn only $4 million while Nicki gets double that at $8 million. Mariah Carey will earn around $17 million. Randy Jackson will be paid in fashionable lapel pins. Or maybe not. He might be getting cash as well, but I haven’t heard any details on that.

Week 1 of The Voice season 3 is done and down but now it’s time to turn things up for the second week with more blind auditions. All four coaches’ teams have been building up as each compete to collect the best singers and for the next two nights they’ll get even more chances.

Make sure you’re up on who has been going with each team because things are moving fast after three episodes this week and two more coming at us between tonight and Tuesday. NBC is loving the ratings The Voice is bringing in for them so expect the hype to continue.

Once we get through the Blind Auditions the coaches will split off and work within their own teams. There’s the danger in getting too many of the same style and sound of singers because they’ll need some variety for those battles.
