All the former American Idol contestants are weighing in on American Idol 2013 and it doesn’t look too good for the show. We had Jennifer Hudson give her two cents and now it is time for American Idol Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken to give his thoughts on the new season.

Besides his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice last year, Clay has been pretty quiet this past year. He is busy being a Dad, which is quite alright, but he must be paying attention to the American Idol 2013 news as well because he had some thoughts on the new season and new judges on American Idol 2013.

Jennifer Hudson thinks American Idol 2013 should take a hint from “Seinfeld” and go out and leave them wanting more.

Hudson recently spoke with Celebuzz and gave her thoughts on whether Idol had run its course. “Everything has its time,” she told Celebuzz. “I think it should just allow itself to go out on top… and gracefully.”

Jennifer praised the show and was thankful for the opportunities its provided her, but it seems she’s ready to say goodbye.

“It’s always been a phenomenon. I’m proud to have come from American Idol, so I just say, go out on top.”

Unfortunately it’s a little late for it to try and go out on top, though it’s not far from it. The series has seen steady drops in ratings each year and is no longer the number one show on television, though it is the number one non-sports show.
