It was time for the Top 8 on American Idol 2014 to take the stage last night and perform for your votes, but we got to see some special duet performances on American Idol Season 13 last night. I guess the producers needed to fill some extra time this week, so the first duets of the season took place. Some were good and some were a big flop! We got a chance to see Jena Irene and Alex Preston perform on American Idol Season 13 last night! Check out their duet performance below in our American Idol 2014 spoilers video!

American Idol 2014 Spoilers - Jena and Alex Duet

The first duet of the night comes from Alex Preston and Jena Irene, so this one could be very good! They sing “Just Give Me A Reason” by Pink featuring Nate Ruess. To be honest, this song is perfect for Alex and he does so good. Jena is a good singer, but I am not sure if this is the style for her. She improves as the song goes on and they sounded good together.


Looking back at the performance today, it seems like the duets weren’t really there to serve a purpose. They all seemed to benefit one or the other singer, so who knows why they did it. Alex does such a good job of making any song his own and Jena shined in her solo performances, but I just wasn’t feeling it from her during this one.
