Last night on American Idol Season 14, it was the new format and Ryan Seacrest was delivering the results one at a time and letting us know who would move on to next week to perform again as part of the Top 20. The contestants were singing songs from the movies and we had some odd choices in the mix, but I did like a few of them. The American Idol judges 2015, especially Harry Connick, Jr., were not impressed and wanted more from them.

When the ten contestants were announced that were moving on based on America’s votes, we were left with Qaasim Middleton and that is exactly as I thought it would be according to our predictions yesterday! He got a chance to sing for the Judges’ Save, so he took on “Come Together” by The Beatles from Across the Universe. To be honest, Qaasim is an amazing entertainer. He knows how to perform and he knows how to get the crowd into it, which is a great thing, but his vocals are not the greatest in the group. This was a great performance and Harry said it was by far the best of the night and because of that, they used the save on him! I never thought they would use it that early, but no more saves the rest of the season and a double elimination next week!
