Here we go…the Top 11 start with a little performance together and then Ryan Seacrest comes out awkwardly dancing, so there is that. Nile Rodgers will be helping the singers out this week along with Scott Borchetta and Jeff Gordon comes out to deliver the results and invites the contestants to the big race this weekend and they will be singing the national anthem there! Now to the results and performances for tonight, as these singers are safe!

Adanna Duru – She sings “Love You I Do” from Dreamgirls by Jennifer Hudson. She may be working her vocals tonight, but she is also working those legs in that dress! This was a great song choice for her and she sounded great with it. She has been all over the place with some of her performances, but this was solid and no pitch problems!

Daniel Seavey – He sings “Lost Stars” from Begin Again by Adam Levine. Nile is worried about Daniel wanting to play the piano and losing that eye contact with the audience, so Daniel opts for playing the guitar. Jennifer said she is worried about him being 15 years old and singing such an emotional love song and she was right. To be honest, it is one of his best vocals I have heard, but that was it. No emotional connection with the lyrics and it was just him singing.

Rayvon Owen – He sings “Stayin’ Alive” from Saturday Night Fever by Bee Gees. Harry said his biggest issues is taking a popular song and putting his own twist on it. Rayvon can definitely sing and he can hit those high notes with such ease. He does put some twists on the song and I loved it and he is so damn cute!

Nick Fradiani – He sings “Danger Zone” from Top Gun by Kenny Loggins. He feels like he is not opening up and connecting with the audience and hopes this performance will allow that, especially without playing the guitar. The thing with Nick is he is a great singer and his voice is very good, but he just covers the original song and I don’t hear any originality from him. This is what I don’t like about him, but he does great with this vocal.

Joey Cook – She sings “Mad World” from Donnie Darko by Michael Andrews featuring Gary Jules. She said her troubles is closing her eyes when she performs and when it is proper and not proper to close her eyes. I am loving her hair down tonight and I am loving this performance. It is simple and sweet and she shows all the emotions of the song. I got chills on this one! Jennifer said it right when she said it felt like a Sia vibe to it.

Tyanna Jones – She sings “Circle of Life” from The Lion King by Elton John. Harry said she hasn’t had a bad performance this season, so can she keep the streak going tonight? To be honest, I was not feeling it tonight from Tyanna. She had some rough spots in there, but she had an overall good vocal performance. However, this is such an emotional song and I missed that from her on American Idol 2015 tonight.

Before we get back to the performances from the contestants, we pause for a performance by Jennifer Lopez, as she sings “Feel The Light” from Home. She slows it down and looks beautiful and how amazing was that dress she was wearing and changing lights???

Quentin Alexander – He sings “You’re The One That I Want” from Grease by John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John. Nile said the way he flipped the lyrics is amazing and Scott said he made it important. This was amazing! I mean, how many times have we heard this song performed before? He put a completely different twist on it and he sings it beautifully and it had so much emotion behind it. Fabulous job!

Maddie Walker – She sings “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” from Footloose by Deniece Williams. She left the show last week after her performance with an illness and that caused her to miss out on a lot of the week, including the mentoring session and some rehearsal time. I think this is a poor song choice and I think her sickness hurt her, as it was safe and boring to me.

Ryan Seacrest speaks with the judges for a little bit and Harry Connick, Jr. is not happy with the performances tonight and he said they are subpar and wants more! Then Ryan surprises us with a performance by Kenny Loggins of “Footloose” and how can you not get up and dance to this one???

Clark Beckham – He sings “Sunday Morning” from Cheaper By The Dozen 2 by Maroon 5. He said this song forces him to get a little more vulnerable and he can’t wait. Keith thinks this could be the missing link for Clark. I will say it every week, but I love everything about this man. I love his voice and his sexy blue eyes and how he goes so deep for some of those notes. His voice is so good and this was a great performance on American Idol Season 14.

Jax – She sings “Grow Old With You” from The Wedding Singer by Adam Sandler. Everyone seems hesitant with her picking this song and it is quirky. I am one of those people too. She does a decent job singing it and I like when she just sings and doesn’t go wild, but this song is just weird. Good vocals and nice sound, but the song didn’t allow her to go anywhere.

With that being the Top 10, we have Qaasim Middleton remaining and he will sing for the Judges’ Save now. Do you think he will get it??? He sings “Come Together” from Across the Universe by The Beatles. I am a big fan of Qaasim and he is an entertainer and this was great and he put it all out there for this one and drops that mic to end it! Harry said it was arguably the best performance of the night. The judges think he deserves the save and no one goes home tonight!
