Top Chef - Season 11

Last night on Top Chef New Orleans 2013, the chefs were put into teams of five and when Travis heard that it was all about Vietnamese food he got excited. That is his forte and he cooks it all the time and spent time there and had a boyfriend from there. Right up his alley then, huh?


While he felt like he was know-all of Vietnamese food, the menu they came up with did not impress the judges at all and were the losing team for the night! He may have come up with the dishes, but each of the chefs seemed to screw up something.

We had Sara taking the blame for the terrible rice. Stephanie making a good dessert, but nothing special. Bene made the tomato sauce that everyone questioned being in a Vietnamese dish, but the sauce was just tomatoes and sweet. Janine made the shrimp, where she fried it and then put it in the tomato before being served and they came out atrocious.

Because of that, Janine was the eliminated chef on Top Chef 2013 last night! Travis may have come up with the ideas, but she did not execute her dish and she now heads out to Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen to fight for a spot in the finale!
