The Voice USA 2015 Spoilers - Voice Top 12 Mentor Reba McEntire

Last week on The Voice 2015 Season 8, it was the first chance we got to vote on our favorites. On Monday night, we saw Team Blake and Team Pharrell take the stage and it was a night of some pretty great performances. That continued on Tuesday night as Team Christina and Team Adam took the stage and performed for your votes. I had no clue on how this was going to turn out, as America had not gotten a chance to vote yet. We had the live results show on Wednesday night and Carson Daly announced your Voice Top 12.

Here we go…

Hannah Kirby (Team Blake) – “Edge of Seventeen” by Stevie Nicks

This was Blake’s save last week, which surprised me, but he definitely loves her. I will admit that I like her and she is just having fun up there, so it is fun to watch. She has a great voice and this song was a perfect choice for her. She worked the stage and crowd and I like her.

Brian Johnson (Team Adam) – “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You” by Sting

Speaking of saves, we now have Adam’s save from last week. Brian freaks out when meeting Reba, which is funny to watch. I have said this all along with Brian and he did it again tonight. He has a good voice and sings well, but there is nothing special about him and he bores me.

India Carney (Team Christina) – “Take Me To Church” by Hozier

On the other side of that is India, as she put it all out there tonight with this performance. She has an amazing voice and I love everything she sings, but some of this performance felt forced and rehearsed and not natural. I did not like that aspect of it.

Mia Z (Team Pharrell) – “Miss You” by The Rolling Stones

Mia has been growing on me every week and I love her voice and I get a Duffy vibe from her. I am not sure about this song choice for her, as it seemed a little awkward in parts. She is so comfortable on that stage and had some good parts in it though.

Deanna Johnson (Team Adam) – “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail You)” by Hillsong United

Adam put her in church last week to feel more comfortable, so I guess he is keeping her there from now on? To be honest, I am just annoyed by the whole performance and seeming to sing the same song over again. Mix it up, girl!

Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell) – “Imagine” by John Lennon

I think this could be the sleeper of the contest, but I was not impressed by this one. Is his voice changing??? He sounded amazing in parts, but then he seemed to fade away and miss some notes. It left me wanting more and I don’t normally feel that way with him.

Rob Taylor (Team Christina) – “I Put A Spell On You”

Reba said when you do a song that has been covered so much then you have to put your own little twist on it. I definitely feel that he has come out of his shell more and more these past couple weeks. He has a great voice and those big notes are amazing. I liked this performance from him on The Voice USA 2015!

Corey Kent White (Team Blake) – “Why” by Jason Aldean

Blake said this will show a bad boy image and more diversity for him. Reba tells him to open his eyes and connect with someone in the audience. He did not seem to do that and he did have his eyes closed and it did seem to make him standoffish on this one. I love his voice, but this song didn’t work for me.

Koryn Hawthorne (Team Pharrell) – “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson

She is taking on a Kelly Clarkson, who happens to be the daughter-in-law of Reba’s! Wow is all I can say on this one. She gave me chills with this one. Koryn felt every emotion in these lyrics and she showed it in that performance. Her voice is great and she just nailed that one!

Joshua Davis (Team Adam) – “America” by Simon & Garfunkel

Adam said he tends to sing more inside himself and he wants him to sing outside. Joshua has a good voice, but he is like Brian Johnson to me. Good voice, but nothing exciting to me. I liked his performance and he drew me in more, but still not wowed by him.

Meghan Linsey (Team Blake) – “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town

Meghan is such a seasoned performer and she shows it with this performance. She goes back to her country roots and it was simple, but oh so good!

Kimberly Nichole (Team Christina) – “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals

I cannot watch Kimberly perform without thinking of Fantasia Barrino. I say it every week, but she sounds so similar to her and she gets into her performances just like Fantasia. We saw Fantasia win American Idol and I think we could see Kimberly win The Voice Season 8. She is such an amazing performer and that was great!

The performances are done for tonight! Who are you voting for?
