Here we go….

Team Pharrell: Anthony Riley vs. Travis Ewing
Song: “Get Ready” by The Temptations
Anthony set a record for the fastest four-chair turnaround during the blind auditions. Travis had some big sex appeal during his audition and had three coaches turn for him. Pharrell said they both have good tones and ranges, but he paired them most of all because they are soulful. Anthony comes into more ready for this song choice, but Travis is not going down without a fight and nails it during the final rehearsal. For the actual battle, you could see that Anthony was more comfortable with the song and he nailed this one and had fun with it. Travis seemed too much in his own head.

Winner: Anthony Riley, but Blake Shelton wants him on his team and steals him away!

Team Christina: Ameera Delandro vs. Sonic
Song: “Masterpiece” by Jessie J
Christina said they are both fierce vocalists and they can both come with a conviction that this song offers. She tells Ameera that she needs to block the nerves and Sonic is struggling, as she has the hearing loss in one ear and finding it difficult singing with someone else and the band blaring in her ear. To be honest, Sonic has a very similar voice to Jessie J and I am a fan and she has so much confidence. Ameera seems shaky with her vocals.

Winner: Sonic and no steals for Ameera, so she is headed home!

QUICK RESULTS: Christina picks Joe Tolo against Gabriel Wolfchild, Adam picks Deanna Johnson over Nicolette Mare and Nathan Hermida over Josh Batstone.

Team Blake: Hannah Kirby vs. Sarah Potenza
Song: “Give Me Shelter” by The Rolling Stones
Blake said they are his badass rocker chicks, so that is why he gave them this song. Sarah seems to have the powerful and loud voice, but they think Hannah’s range is amazing. Blake said whichever one shows more control on this song will be the one that wins it tonight on The Voice USA 2015. They both have amazing voices, but it seems like Hannah is like a mini-Sarah. She is so powerful and her voice is great.

Winner: Sarah Potenza and Pharrell and Adam want Hannah on their team, but she picks to join Team Pharrell!

Team Adam: Blaze Johnson vs. Michael Leier
Song: “Rude” by Magic
Adam said that Blaze has a cool, island vibe and Michael has a lot of soul, so he thinks this is a perfect song for them. Ellie Goulding said this song is more for Blaze, but Michael has something special and he could go far this season. During rehearsals, Michael is rushing it and needs to find the beat, but Blaze is doing it also! I think Blaze has a good voice, as does Michael, but this performance was a little underwhelming for me.

Winner: Blaze Johnson and no steals for Michael, so he is eliminated.

Team Blake: Cody Wickline vs. Matt Snook
Song: “How Country Feels” by Randy Houser
This is clearly the battle of the cowboy hats! Blake said they are hardcore country singers and thinks it is cool to see a veteran going up against a young guy. He said that it seems so effortless for Cody, but he gets so intense and it looks like he is not having fun. However, he seems like Matt needs to dial it down a little and be more serious. I want to like Matt and root for him, as he has a great country voice, but I think Cody has such a strong country voice. He let loose up there and had more fun with it and I liked seeing that and love his voice.

Winner: Cody Wickline and no steals for Matt, so he is headed home on The Voice USA 2015 tonight!

Team Pharrell: Meghan Linsey vs. Paul Pfau
Song: “Don’t Let Me Down” by The Beatles
Pharrell said they both experiment with different genres of music, so he put them together and gave them this song. He thinks it is the middle of both of their ambitions. Paul was struggling with the range of the song, but afraid to ask to lower it. Pharrell notices it and they lower it and they think it sounds so much better. He tells Meghan to not be afraid to engage and use those eyes on Paul. To be honest, all the hype for this battle was worth it and both of them nailed it. They have great voices and brought the emotion of the song and this is going to be tough!

Winner: Paul Pfau and everyone wants Meghan as a steal, but she picks to join Team Blake!
