Last night on The Voice Season 6, the season got off to a bang with the coaches hitting the stage for their traditional performance, but this time they sang a medley of their big hits, which was cool to see. One of the standout auditions of the night had to go to Christina Grimmie, who got the first four-chair turnaround of the season. She has some popularity already, as she has over 2 million subscribers to her YouTube page! That is insane, but she is looking to get her big break this season on The Voice 2014!

Here we go…first up tonight is Delvin Choice, who is a singing barista at Starbucks. He auditioned for Season 5, but did not get through and no chairs turned around for him. He sang a dance song then and the coaches told him to get away from that music. He sings “A Song For You” by Donny Hathaway and he sounds amazing. Blake, Adam and Shakira hit their buttons right away. Usher waits until the end, but it is a four-chair turnaround for Delvin this time around! Adam said he has become 20 times the singer and he didn’t recognize his voice it was that good. Blake said he is blown away and wants to know how he fixes his hair. Shakira swears she will take him to the top of this competition. The coaches are fighting for him and it is hilarious and why I love this show! Delvin chooses Team Adam and another four-chair victory for him!
Next up is Madilyn Paige and she makes short films. She is 16 years old and has four brothers and sisters and there is always singing going on in the house. She thinks it is time to step out on that stage and become the artist she wants to be. She sings “Titanium” but slows it down. It does start slow, but once the lyrics kick in she gets Usher to hit his button. She does sound good and hits some big notes, which is why Shakira joined Usher. They both want her and do their best to get her, but Madilyn picks Usher as her coach on The Voice USA 2014!
Now on The Voice USA Season 6 is Noah Lis, who is trying to bring back the old jazz style. He began taking piano lessons at six years old and fell in love with jazz. He runs his own music business for 11 years now and books about 250 shows a year, but wants the big break The Voice 2014 could offer him. He does have a unique style to him and I am liking it. The coaches all seem interested, but no one hits their buttons until the very last second and Blake and Adam both hit it! Blake said he loves that he picked that song and he sang the crap out of it. Adam said it is a little rough around the edges and it is critical to hear that and he can help guide him to the place he wants to be. Noah thinks Blake is the perfect fit for him, so he joins Team Blake on The Voice 2014!
We have quite a character here, as Keith Shuskie takes center stage. He said he has a rock and roll voice with an operatic touch to it. He has an amazing mustache, which will get people talking and the coaches. He does have a good voice and I hear that rocker in him, but in a different way. No coaches turn around for him, so he is headed home!
Maybe we will get back to the chairs turning around on The Voice USA 2014? Deja Hall is hoping so. She comes from a military family and did a lot of moving. She found a constant in music and fell in love. She does a lot of local talent shows, but this is a huge talent show for her. She sings “True Colors” and puts her own sound to it and I love it. She has a solid voice and gets Blake to hit his button and Shakira hits it immediately after Blake. Usher, again, waits until the end and Blake is pissed because he thinks he will lose her to Usher. Shakira said she is angelic and has made her smile the whole time. Blake said he has won this show with a 16-year-old and he doesn’t think she can win with them and he has no kids and wants to adopt her! Deja picks Team Shakira!
The final artist of the night is Cary Laine, who is 28 years old. She got married when she was 18 years old, so she said it is a balance of being a Mom during the day and a rocker at night. They moved from Alabama to Wyoming for her husband’s work. The gigs are few and far between now, so this is her chance tonight! She has a great country voice and strong stage presence and gets all four of the coaches to turn around for her! Usher wants her to trade in the boots for sneakers. Adam gives up his red chair for her to get comfortable and the judges all want her to try out their chair. Blake said she wants to be a respected country artist and Cassadee Pope has a #1 country album. That did not work, as she picks Team Adam!!!
That is it for tonight. What do you think of the blind auditions on The Voice USA 2014 so far?
