The first week of The Voice 2013 Season 4 Blind Auditions are in the books and we got a chance to see a few more outstanding performances last night on The Voice Season 4 and one of them happened to come from the folk duo Midas Whale. If one of the members looked familiar, that is because he should! The duo is made up of Ryan Hayes and Jon Peter Lewis, who happened to make the Top 8 on American Idol Season 3! See them perform “Folsom Prison Blues” below!

I find that so interesting knowing that JPL was on Idol and now he will be on The Voice Season 4. I guess he has never given up his love for music, huh?


The duo is quirky and weird and a ton of laughs. I never thought when first seeing them that they were going to get any chairs to turn around and the guys didn’t either, as they said the coaches probably wouldn’t get their sound. Well, they got their sound as all four coaches hit their button and it was a battle to get Midas Whale to join their team. Adam Levine had a slow night the first night, but he made up for it last night and added Midas Whale to Team Adam!
