I was intrigued to see the Team Shakira performance on The Voice USA 2014 last night, especially after the tragic performance by Shakira on The Voice USA Season 6 last week! I know she can sing, but she took the stage and was a lip syncing disaster. Clearly she doesn’t do it often, as she failed big time and looked beyond ridiculous. So, last night on The Voice 2014 she had the chance to redeem herself when she took the stage with Tess Boyer and Kristen Merlin for the Team Shakira performance. Did she redeem herself? We all know that the coaches and judges on these singing competition shows come on to help promote their own careers, which is why Shakira took the stage last night on The Voice USA 2014 and performed her new single “Empire” during The Voice results last night. This is not surprising, as we see it all the time with Jennifer Lopez on American Idol or Christina Aguilera on The Voice last season. As we saw during Season 5 with Christina Aguilera, it looks like Shakira is just as focused on The Voice USA 2014 at bringing home a victory for a female coach on the show! The wins have been dominated by Adam Levine and Blake Shelton during the first five seasons, but Shakira is hoping to change that during The Voice USA Season 6. It looks like Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique have a couple things to look forward to in 2013: not only will Shakira start as a new coach on The Voice 2013, but they will also welcome their first child together! The happy couple tweeted out the picture below of their take on the naked baby bump picture that most pregnant women seem to take nowadays thanks to Demi Moore way back in the day! The Voice Season 4 coach looks exceptionally beautiful and pregnancy is definitely treating her well, as it is her how boyfriend, right?

We all know that new additions have been made to The Voice 2013, as Shakira and Usher will find themselves in those big red chairs as The Voice Season 4 judges. Shakira will be replacing Christina Aguilera and Usher will be replacing Cee Lo Green on the judges’ panel, but it is not a full-time replacement, as Christina and Cee Lo are busy with their own projects and need a little time off. NBC has released new promo pictures for The Voice 2013 and you can see the new judges are fitting in real well with those big red chairs!
