The designers on Project Runway All Stars 2019 were taking on climate change tonight, well sort of! Maybe just a change in weather? Project Runway All Stars 2019 Spoilers - Week 10 Recap

Last week on PR All Stars 2019, the designers were put to the task of creating gender-neutral streetwear. For some of them, that turned into some pretty basic looks and uninspired looks. However, some of them shined! Christina felt like she could be herself in this challenge, despite Anne Fulenwider not being too sure of her look. It worked though, as Christina won the challenge and redeemed herself after the bottom two finish the week before. In the bottom were Sean and Dmitry and Sean went too basic and been there, done that with his look and he was eliminated!

The Challenge

The designers head to the backstage lounge and Alyssa Milano pops up on the TV, as she is a newscaster now. It seems the top story of the week is climate change, as they will be creating transformational resort wear. This is an outfit that can quickly transform to cover changing weather. To find out their resort and weather changes, they do “live” spots to report on the weather. This is a funny segment, as the designers are getting soaked from that “rain.” They have a $200 budget for this challenge.

Workroom

The designers do some sketching and then have their own change of clothes to get out of the wet ones and then off to Mood. Dmitry is making a complicated coat, so he is trying to make the dress quickly to focus on that. Biddell is unsure about his look, as the other designers seem to be going more glamorous than his. Michelle is trying to get things worked out with flipping a skirt into a jacket! Dmitry is making a jacket as his transformation, so not sure how that is going to work for the judges. Christina has to work with her model to get the belt right for the transformation.

Anne’s Critiques

Time for Anne Fulenwider to come in and check out the looks from the designers tonight on Project Runway All Stars 2019! For Michelle, she thought it was pretty fabulous. She chooses odd fabrics, but she makes it work. She calls out Anthony Ryan for making a blue dress, yet again, and she wants him to stand out. She thinks Irina’s look might be too dull, but it is functional. For Christina, she said it is not that dramatic of a change. She said she doesn’t know anyone that would wear denim to the beach for Biddell’s look. The models came in for their fittings and told how to make the transformation in their looks.

Judges’ Critiques

For tonight, there are only six designers remaining, so everyone gets a critique! The judges are Alyssa, Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi and guest judges tonight are Reem Acra and Cynthia Erivo! Here are their critiques:

  • Irina – Isaac said he loved she invented this top. Georgina loved the mix of fabrics. Alyssa said the color was a little imbalanced, but the ease of the transformation was great.
  • Anthony Ryan – Georgina said she found the colors to be difficult. Isaac said she has one freezing arm in the snow. Reem said there is something stunning here and he could go further.
  • Biddell – Reem said it felt like he took her to Miami. Cynthia wanted something extra, like a big hood. Isaac said to pump the volume up. Georgina said it didn’t feel like him.
  • Dmitry – Reem said she didn’t see where it matches. Alyssa said the sleeves are so short and proportions are off. Isaac said he sees nothing wrong with it and it is an all-star piece.
  • Christina – Georgina said it is very nice. Cynthia said she felt it was kind of generic. Isaac said the swimsuit feels generic. Alyssa said it is successful in the fabric and how she cut it.
  • Michelle – Alyssa said she is crazy about it and thinks it’s inventive. Georgina said the proportions are great and it feels real. Cynthia thinks it’s great and the two prints together are great. Reem saw nothing wrong except the shoes could have been different.

Results

After discussing the looks tonight on PR All Stars 2019, we find out that the winning look goes to Michelle. The bottom two looks tonight came from Christina and Biddell. However, the losing look comes from Christina and she is eliminated! That means she went from bottom to winning to eliminated in three weeks!
