We found out the Top 9 on American Idol 2015 and it was time for them to take on songs from the 1980’s, which I thought would be a fun and crazy night. However, I was a little disappointed with the performances and wanted more from them. One person did not let me down, as Clark Beckham never lets me down. He has a great voice and he let it shine on American Idol Season 14 last night. American Idol 2015 Spoilers - Top 9 - Clark Beckham Performance

For his performance, he sings “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. During rehearsals, Boy George suggests lowering the key and having more to work with and Clark agrees, but then goes back to the original before taking the stage tonight. Did it matter? Clark nails everything he tackles and he is such a good singer. Love this performance and love this guy!


For the judges’ critiques, Keith Urban said it showed more heart to him that he hadn’t felt and he took him on a journey melodically and emotionally. Jennifer Lopez said she got the goosies and everything he did with it was beautiful. Harry Connick Jr. said everyone in this competition has big dynamics, but he doesn’t have to do any of it. He can stay right where he is and sing.
