American Idol 2014 Spoilers: Openly Gay Contestants On Idol? NEVER!
| February 13, 2014 at 10:44 AM ESTThe fact that I am writing this article and it is 2014 is beyond me, but for the first time in American Idol history, it looks like American Idol 2014 has its first openly gay contestant in M.K. Nobilette. There have been many gay contestants over the years (hell, even Danny Noriega from Season 7 is competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race this season), but none of them have openly admitted it until last night’s episode of American Idol Season 13 when M.K. sat down in front of the American Idol judges 2014 (Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.) and said those words: I’m gay! Get the details below in our American Idol 2014 spoilers.
It was the Final Judgement on American Idol 2014 last night and we got the chance to see the contestants walk that Green Mile and sit down in front of the judges and hear their fate on the show. I liked this way of doing it and actually seeing more on the singers and their journey on the show so far and not see back-to-back-to-back solo performances and their get their fate the next day.

M.K. Nobilette came in front of the judges and they stated that she does not fit the image of what an American Idol has been and M.K. agreed and stated:
“I’m very obviously gay, and there are always gonna be people in America and everywhere else who will definitely hate me. But I think that in the last two years there have been a lot of things that have really changed that, and have made it a positive thing.”
To which, Harry mumbled: “Thank goodness.” This was such a touching moment for the show, especially when Jennifer said the world is changing and they think she could be the next American Idol. You felt joy for M.K. and I felt tears rolling down my face! Watch the moment here:
