Last night on Dancing with the Stars Season 23, it was all about wasting time and trying to fill two hours of the DWTS Finale show! Of course, they did it with performance after performance after performance! Then we watched the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge for the final three couples, which they all ended up with perfect, so a complete waste of time!
When all was said and done, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced the standings after all the votes and points were tallied on Dancing with the Stars 2016:
- Third Place – Calvin Johnson, Jr. and Lindsay Arnold
- Second Place – James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess
- First Place – Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy
To be honest, I would have been okay with any of these couples winning last night, which I feel many people thought the same thing. They were all strong competitors and dancers and all very likable. However, they all couldn’t win and I truly thought it would come down to James and Laurie and I was right. Laurie & Val have been standouts since the beginning of the season, so they deserve it! So, a Mirror Ball Trophy and a gold medal in the same year for Laurie Hernandez!
