Surprise, surprise! In what may be the least surprising yet most controversial Bachelor outcome, Courtney Robertson took home the final rose and Ben Flajnik’s heart on Monday night’s finale.

But before he could propose to Robertson, Flajnik had to let down Lindzi Cox. Cox handled the rejection gracefully, and even told him to call her if it doesn’t work out with Robertson. I would have liked to have seen more dignity from her. The man she loves just told her he’s in love with another woman after dragging her along.

Once that’s out of the way, Flajnik gets down on one knee and proposes to Robertson, who happily accepts. She tells him, “I will love you forever,” and Flajnik promises to do the same in return.

However, after the After the Final Rose special, we know the couple has already broken up once.
