While the finales this week are taking over our lives, some of you may have missed The Sing Off Holiday Special on NBC last night and it was a one-night special, but who won The Sing Off 2014 last night? The Sing-Off - Season 5

Last night on The Sing Off Holiday Special, it was a one night special and NBC synopsis stated: “six new groups compete for a first-place prize of $50,000. Jewel and Shawn Stockman return as judges in this Season 5 extravaganza, and are joined by Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump. Also performing tonight are season four Sing-Off champions Home Free, who will sing with Nick Lachey and all three judges, as well as season three winner and hugely popular group Pentatonix.”


I am a huge fan of a capella and so glad The Sing Off was back on air, but so sad it was only one night! However, the night started with six groups and they all performed for the judges and a very excited crowd. From there, three groups would move on to the final round and a winner of The Sing Off 2014 would be selected from there.

From the first performances, the judges decided to move Traces, The Exchange and The Melodores on to the final round. They all sang one more time and it was The Melodores performance of “Take Me To Church” by Hozier that wowed everyone and The Melodores became the first collegiate group to win The Sing Off 2014!
