Who Won Rising Star 2014 Last Night? Finale

The end has come and gone and we saw the final four contestants on Rising Star on ABC perform last night on the Rising Star finale and the winner of Rising Star Season 1 was announced, so who won Rising Star 2014 last night? Last night on ABC’s Rising Star, the competition was down to the final four contestants: Audrey Kate Geiger, Austin French, Dana Williams and Jesse Kinch. Based on that, we saw they would be broken up into two duels and the winners taking each other on in the final head-to-head of the season.

In the first matchup, it was Dana against Jesse. This one ended as we all expected, as Jesse got 87% and Dana had 30%, so Jesse moved on to the final performance. In the second matchup, it was Austin against Audrey Kate. No shocker here either, as Austin got 70% and Audrey Kate got 49% and was sent home.

That means the final matchup was Jesse against Austin. Josh Groban did a coin flip and Austin won, so he chose to go second. They did not show their percentages as they sang this time and the winner would be announced when both were done performing. To be honest, not the best performance from Jesse and Austin sings a different genre every time he sings and it annoys me. Maybe it annoys America too, as they voted Jesse Kinch as the winner of Rising Star 2014 with a 76 to 61 victory and he walks away with the recording contract from Capitol Records to never be heard of again!
