We had one act go home last night and another two acts will go home tonight on The X Factor 2013. Simon Cowell and the producers are hoping performances by Selena Gomez and Fifth Harmony help booster the ratings on The X Factor USA 2013, which have been in the cellar this season! Last night on The X Factor Season 3, the 12 acts took the stage and performed for our votes. There were some amazing performances, as Josh Levi showed us he can sing and dance and put on one hell of a show. He was one of the best of the night, but it was also a night that featured the acts singing some bad songs and not looking that great!
Who is going home tonight on The X Factor Season 3? We love all 12 acts, so it is tough to see any of them go home on The X Factor 2013! I still made my predictions earlier, so check them out while we wait for the recap to start!

Here we go…we start with Mario Lopez telling us one more time that it is a double elimination tonight. Then we get to see the Top 12 on The X Factor 2013 perform together one more time. They sing a tribute to Lou Reed and we get major screams for Restless Road and Josh Levi, so they should be safe tonight? We then look back at last night’s performances one more time.
Before we get to the results, it is time for some plugs for their hair products and Fifth Harmony during some Glam Station video. I am over it!
The Top 12 take the stage and one of the acts is going home right now! The first act leaving the competition tonight is Sweet Suspense! Simon looks shocked, but then he looks pissed! I totally agree with the decision though. What do you think? Later on, the next two bottom acts will sing for survival and the judges get to save one of them. That won’t be until the end and more performances to waste time until then!
The next performance of the night comes from Selena Gomez as she sings her latest single “Slow Down” and she should be prepared for this one, as it was supposed to happen last week but got delayed with the voting error.
Back to the results on The X Factor USA 2013 and these are the nine acts that are safe tonight:
- Carlito Olivero (and an eye roll from Simon) – Boys
- Josh Levi – Boys
- Rion Paige – Girls
- Jeff Gutt – Over 25s
- Restless Road – Groups
- Tim Olstad – Boys
- Ellona Santiago – Girls
- Lillie McCloud – Over 25s
- Alex & Sierra – Groups
That means that Rachel Potter and Khaya Cohen will sing for survival tonight! I thought Khaya nailed it last night and Rachel was not good, so this is not fair!

Now it is time for Khaya and Rachel to sing for survival on The X Factor USA 2013. Khaya is up first and I just love the tone of her voice. I am surprised she is here in the bottom and she shows off those vocals that I love. Next up is Rachel and I am nervous about this one. I thought she sucked last night, but she brought it last Thursday when she sang her Save Me song. She has a good country voice, but Khaya outshined her on this one and the judges should save Khaya!
They both sang their hearts out and now it is up to the judges! Kelly can’t believe two of the best vocalists in the competition are in the bottom two, but she sends home Khaya. Paulina sends home Rachel. Demi sends home Rachel. Simon sends home Rachel, so Rachel Potter is eliminated tonight and Khaya Cohen is safe!
