The X Factor USA 2013 Live Recap: Four Categories Selected (VIDEO)

Tonight on The X Factor USA 2013, we see the auditions on The X Factor Season 3 come to an end and the judges (Kelly Rowland, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio) will find out which category they will be mentoring. All season long Mario Lopez has been telling us that the singers were auditioning in four categories: Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups. Which judge gets which category? It will be interesting to find out and we will shortly during our The X Factor USA 2013 Live Recap!

It was a weird night last night on The X Factor USA Season 3, as the producers seemed to show us more and more of the crazy/awkward auditions. Have they shown us all the talented singers already? In actuality, I don’t think so. In  the previews, they say over 200 singers made it to the next round, but that number is cut to 40! We have not seen over 200 acts this season on The X Factor 2013!

We did, however, see a marriage proposal last night! The boyfriend auditioned to support his girlfriend, who had an alright voice, but nothing amazing. The boyfriend sucked it up singing-wise, but surprised her by getting down on his knee and asking her to marry him. She had to say yes or that would have been AWKWARD!!! Here we go…hey, if you didn’t know Mario Lopez tells us again that they audition in four categories. First up is Neal Macomber and he is 45 years old and he is here to show us his magic and hopefully inspire others to discover theirs. We are on the last day of auditions and they show us this Why even bother? Four no votes and he creepily leaves!

Now FOX speeds through singers that made it through to the next round, but then show us the terrible ones? Ugh!!!

Victoria Carriger comes out and she looks good and they ask her age and she says she has eight kids!!! She doesn’t look old enough for that many!!! She has a very nice voice, but is it good enough? I am not blown away by it. Simon said he had written her off at the beginning, but he was wrong and she had a story to tell with that performance. The judges give her four yes votes!

The last audition on The X Factor USA 2013 comes from Keith Beukelaer, who happened to audition on American Idol ten years ago and sang “Like A Virgin” and Simon told him he was the worst singer in the world. He is now going to rap for us on The X Factor. He can’t rap either, but at least he tried, huh? They give him four yes votes, but a waste of time! He won’t make it far with his tie-dye outfit!

There were 218 acts that the judges brought to Los Angeles and they will cut them down to just 40 acts, ten in each category! There will be no boot camp this season, but a four-chair challenge comes next week, but details still to come! The judges deliberate big time on the acts, but finally get it down to 40 and here we go!

Girls Category: Khayan Cohen, Bree Randall, Jamie Pineda, Simone Torress, Rion Paige, Danie Geimer, Rylie Brown, Primrose Martin, Ellona Santiago and Ashly Williams.

Boys Category: Carlito Olivero, Chase Goehring, Timmy Thames, Isaiah Alston, Tim Olstad, Al Calderon, Josh Levi, Isaac Tauaefa, Carlos Guevara and Stone Martin.

Groups Category: Glamour, Good News, Yellow House Canyon, Alex & Sierra, Roxxy Montana, Wild Thingz, Girls United and Simon said it is the end of the road for everyone else, which means they are forming groups again this season?

Over 25s Category: Lillie McCloud, Jeff Brinkman, Rachel Potter, Kristine Mirele, Victoria Carriger, James Kenney, Allison Davis, Denny Smith, Lorie Moore and Jeff Gutt.

Here it comes and the judges are forming three new groups, all trios. They will be joining the groups category and now time to find out who the judges are mentoring!

Over 25s: Kelly Rowland, Girls: Demi Lovato, Boys: Paulina Rubio and Groups: Simon Cowell.
