Week 2 of The Voice USA Season 5 blind auditions are coming to a close and the teams are starting to take shape more and more on The Voice USA 2013! Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine have been fighting hard to get the winning singer on their team and stop the winning streak for Blake Shelton. He has won three seasons in a row and can he make it four in a row on The Voice Season 5? Check out the blind auditions tonight with us during our The Voice USA Season 5 Live Recap and videos will be posted as soon as we can!

The Voice - Season 5

Last night on The Voice 2013, the singers were on fire, as we had a few four-chair turnarounds, which are always fun to watch. What’s even more fun to watch? Seeing the guys battle it out, as we had two Man Fights last night. Blake, Cee Lo and Adam all fighting for one signer on their team. It’s funny to see the love between these coaches and you know they all respect each other, which is so cool.

We also had a celebrity cameo on The Voice USA 2013 last night, as Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory was in the studio to cheer on her sister Briana Cuocowho happened to make it through and joined Team Christina! Who makes it through tonight? Check it out during our Live Recap starting soon!

WARNING: THE VOICE USA SEASON 5 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s episode of The Voice 2013 Season 5 Blind Auditions. Don’t want to see them yet then don’t look ahead!!!

****************************************************************

Here we go…we look back at the auditions from last night and again, we have have Team Christina with eight artists and the rest with seven each. The first artist of the night is Will Champlin, who happens to be the son of one of the members of the band Chicago. He has always done bar gigs and things on the side, but now he has a wife and daughter and wants to provide for them. He has a great voice and has that rocker-edge to him. He gets Blake to turn around eventually, but then Adam and Cee Lo join him eventually and another Man Fight on our hands. Adam tries to use the “both from the same town” card and Blake says he loves him and wears the suspenders because he sings his ass off! He goes Team Adam, which will be a great fit for him….hopefully!

Macey Estes comes from a family that sings, but she always sang in her room and in private. She sang in show choir, like her older sister. She just graduated high school and is now wanting to get into hip hop/pop music before going to college. Christina is her girl, but will she turn her red chair around? The coaches all think about and get close to hitting their buttons, but none of them do and she will not moving on. They say she is young and has the potential and needs to push herself a little bit more.

Another singer from a musical family, as Stephanie Anne Johnson. She is a classical singer and loves opera music. She graduated college and was working in a daycare, but it was not enough for her and she got a job on a cruise ship in Alaska. She loves singing every day, but then she misses all the wedding and family functions and she is ready to be on land again and is hoping The Voice USA Season 5 can change that. I love her voice and she has some attitude with her lyrics and I like it. I think she could sound a lot better with a different song choice and I am excited to see more from her. She gets Cee Lo and Christina to turn around and come to find out that she went to high school with Vicci Martinez from Season 1 and Team Cee Lo. That may help his chances! It didn’t help, as she goes Team Christina!

Sam Cerniglia works in customer service for Groupon and he also is part of a band. Both his sisters have diseases: one has cystic fibrosis and the other has Batten disease, which is a shrinking of the brain. He gets a video message from his mom and sister and bring on the tears on The Voice 2013! He has that old school vibe to his voice and is pretty good, but I am not blown away by him. I am a fan of his story and he gets Cee Lo and Blake to turn around at the end and I am happy! Blake said he is a complete vocalist, but he loves his style and he took us to a Michael Buble concert. Cee Lo said he sounded like a perfect gentleman and sophisticated. He goes Team Blake!

Jennifer Newberry is from Sweden, but living in Seattle now. Her dad was an exchange student in Sweden and that is where he met her mother. When she was 21 years old, she took $300 and moved to Seattle. She sings in casinos and wants to make it to prove she made a right choice. This is another good voice, but nothing special about her. She does have that Vicci Martinez sound to her voice, so maybe a good pick for Cee Lo? He comes close, but doesn’t hit the button and no other coaches do either!

This set off a moment of the coaches being picky on who they want on their teams for The Voice Season 5 and sending singers home!

James Irwin tried out for Season 4, but did not get any chairs to turn around. He is back and took Shakira’s advice and is back for a second chance. He lost his identical twin daughters after birth and now him and his wife have a son and they are with him today as his good luck charms. He has been working on his music ever since and it has paid off, as he gets all four coaches to turn around! I am not blown away by his voice. What do you think? He may be the first singer to not make the show and then come back and get all four chairs to turn around! He goes Team Adam!

We now have a seasoned singer in Olivia Henken, who has entered and won all these contests but can not get that recording contract she desires. The whole family supports her in every show and they all work together, so they are here supporting her tonight. The song is a slow and I think she could have been better with a different song. She still nailed some amazing notes and got Christina and Cee Lo to turn around, even though she is country. She goes Team Christina!

Jason Kerston was a child and got in trouble for something and got grounded for three weeks. During that time, he had his dad teach him to play guitar and learned he loved singing. He then got bored and taught himself to play two guitars at one time and his YouTube videos have gotten the attention of one of the members of MegaDeath! He is only 16 years old, but his voice is so mature and deep. No coaches hear that note they wanted to hear and no red chairs turn around! They give him some great feedback and he is young, so we should probably see him again next season?

Next up is R. Anthony and he has always been the quiet kid. He then went to college and started a gospel group that did a lot of gigs. He then had a daughter and got married, so he quit singing and worked a regular job. His wife then came to him and told him he needs to get back out there and sing! He has a good quality to his voice and gets Christina to turn around. She thought she had him locked up, but then Cee Lo hit his button at the very end! It worked, as he picks Team Cee Lo on The Voice 2013 Season 5!

Some quick additions are added, but then it is all about another country artist as Justin Chain makes his way on the show. He always loved music, but then it was cheaper to play sports then become a famous musician. He was going to go to Alabama to play football, but then got in a terrible motorcycle accident in 2008 and that ended that plan. He is back and all repaired and now trying the singing thing. He fills those jeans nicely and is pure country and gets Blake to turn around and he is on Team Blake! None of them wanted to compete against Blake, so it is an easy get for Blake!

The final artist of the night is Ashley DuBose and was raised by her single mother and now finds herself being a single mother herself. She finished college and works full-time, but juggling it with being a mother and musician. She feels she is spreading herself thin and is ready for that break! She sings “Diamonds” by Rihanna and honestly has the look and sound of her. Great tone to her voice and I loved it, as did all four coaches who turned for her! They all fight hard for her and shower her with compliments, but she picks Team Adam! He gets all the great singers, but then pairs them against each other in the Battle Rounds and loses them!

That is it for tonight on The Voice USA Season 5 and we have Team Christina and Team Adam with ten artists each and Team Blake and Team Cee Lo with nine artists each! Who was your favorite of the night?
