WARNING: THE VOICE USA SEASON 4 SPOILERS AHEAD!

The following post contains videos from tonight’s episode of The Voice USA Season 4 Live Playoffs. Don’t want to see them yet then don’t look ahead!!!

*********************************************************************

Here we go…we are live folks!!! What’s going on with Carson Daly’s hair tonight??? We will see Team Usher and Team Adam perform tonight for your votes and Team Blake and Team Shakira tomorrow. America votes their two favorites through from each team and then the coach gets to save one.

Usher takes his team to a kickboxing gym to work on their endurance, as they prepare for their group performance of “Black and Gold” by Sam Sparrow. They have to keep their endurance up, but will this help? They have a good performance, but I was not a fan of this song choice for them. It was a lowkey song and I don’t know if really showcased any of their voices really well. Josiah Hawley towered over everyone, but he was fun to look at, right???

Amber Carrington (Team Adam) – “Stay” by Rihanna

This is a different song route for Amber, as she takes on a Rihanna song and goes away from country. I love this song, so I am excited to see her perform it and Team Adam is super strong this season. She looks gorgeous and sounds even better. Like I said, I love this song and I think Amber’s voice is perfect for it. She keeps the emotion of the song there and has such a clear vocal and I am a huge fan of her. Will you be voting for Amber tonight on The Voice USA Season 4? Hits a huge note at the end and gets a standing ovation from her coach.

Josiah Hawley (Team Usher) – “Starlight” by Muse

Josiah is pretty, right? He said the challenge of this song is breath control, but you don’t want everyone to hear it. Josiah is a weird one for me. I think he has a decent voice and I want to root for him, but something about his performances bore me. There is nothing too special about his voice. He is a good singer, but I am looking for something more from these singers and I did not get that from this performance. Standing ovation from his coach though.

Sarah Simmons (Team Adam) – “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan

Sarah said this is one of her go-to songs and she is dedicating it to one of her best friends that passed away last year. Adam chose this to show a softer side of Sarah. Will we see tears tonight from the coaches? Sarah is amazing…that’s it! This was a beautiful performance and her voice is beyond strong. She gets those grunts going in just the right spot. She had the emotions going and was close to tears for most of the performance. Beautiful job Sarah!

Cathia (Team Usher) – “I Have Nothing” by Whiteney Houston

In rehearsals, Usher tries to get her voice to dance when she sings, so he takes her for some waltzing around the studio. Usher has some weird techniques he uses on The Voice 2013. Is he too rough on his singers? Cathia has a very strong voice and I don’t think it was shown fully during the previous rounds. This was a great performance and that is also while taking on a song by the amazing Whitney Houston. She hits some great notes and she showed a strong side tonight.

In a special performance, for some reason, we get to see a special performance from coaches Adam Levine and Usher! They sing “Superstitious” by Stevie Wonder. Does it seem to anyone else that Stevie Wonder has been showing up on all the shows lately, like DWTS, Glee and now The Voice. This was fun and they are both pretty!

Caroline Glaser (Team Adam) – “The A Team” by Ed Sheeran

She dropped out her freshman year at University of Kansas for this opportunity. I always love that indie/coffee shop/singer and songwriter vibe that some people have in their voices and Caroline has that. This was a perfect song choice for her and she nailed it. I am a fan and am impressed with what she did tonight! What do you think?

Vedo (Team Usher) – “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins

Vedo was a little confused when Usher gave him this song and never heard of Phil Collins, but when he listened to the song he knew this was it. I think it was a good choice for Usher to pick a slower song and show off Vedo’s voice more than all the dancing, but he starts a little pitchy for me. He gets stronger as the song goes on though and ends on a high and he has the good looks and I think he will go far! What do you think?

Now it will be time to see Team Adam take the stage, as they perform “Shake It Out” by Florence + The Machine. They get some style tips from Adam’s stylists and they have fun with that, but lets sing! We all know that Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons are both strong singers, which is showcased in this performance, but I think that Amber Carrington showed America that she is in it to win it and was so strong in her solo and this group performance.

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper

When Usher gave her this song Michelle knew it was perfect for her. She felt the lyrics for herself and this could be a breakout moment for Michelle on The Voice USA Season 4. She seemed to be having some ear piece issues at the beginning and I think that held her back, but she took it out and kicked it in in the second half of the song. I am a fan of this girl, but I have come to find that I am a fan of them all!

Judith Hill (Team Adam) – “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone

Adam thinks that Sasha Allen had a moment last week and now Judith needs to knock it out of the park tonight. We all know Judith is one of the clear favorites to win Season 4, right? If not, then watch the performance above and then answer that question again. Not going to lie though, it was a little rough in some spots as she tried to hit the big notes and was not getting there. She doesn’t need to go that high. Stay in your range girl and sing the hell out of the song, like you just did. She will be in the finale!

That’s all for tonight. Who will you be voting for tonight on The Voice USA Season 4?
