Last week on The Voice 2015 Season 8, it was a nerve wracking week, as the Voice Top 8 performed on Monday night and we saw some great performances along the way. Some of the artists were blowing it up on the iTunes charts, but Koryn Hawthorne was not one of the top downloads, which surprised me because I loved her performance! The Voice Results came in and Koryn was safe though and we saw India Carney win the Voice Save, which meant that Team Blake lost two artists in Hannah Kirby and Corey Kent White!

Here we go…the Top 6 will be performing twice tonight. One of the performances will be a dedication to their mothers in honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday!
ROUND 1
India Carney (Team Christina) – “Glory” by John Legend featuring Common
This was a big song this past year and while India sang it very well, I was missing some of the emotion of the lyrics. That seems to be her problem a lot of the times. Amazing voice, but not connecting to the lyrics. I felt John Legend and Common nailed it with their performance, but this one lacked something.
Joshua Davis (Team Adam) – “Desire” by U2
Adam Levine said this one has the rock and roll flare to it and Joshua can puff out his chest a little on this one. While I was not a huge fan of the song choice, I think he did a good job with it and hie voice was very solid with it. For me, he still lacks that quality that wows me.
Koryn Hawthorne (Team Pharrell) – “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M.
She totally gets into her performances and it feels like she is feeling everyone of the emotions in the songs. Sometimes it can be a little extreme, but it worked on this performance. She had some big notes in there and I love the sound of her voice.
Kimberly Nichole (Team Christina) – “Free Fallin'” by Tom Petty
I was loving her mother in the package video! For the performance, I am a fan of Kimberly and think she has an amazing voice. I think this was a bad song choice for her though, as it was low key and it seemed to lack the Kimberly vibe I am used to and love.
Meghan Linsey (Team Blake) – “Steamroller Blues” by James Taylor
This was her “tip jar” performance at the bars, as she would pass the tip jar when singing it. Blake Shelton wants to her the blues from her. She showed that sass and she had fun up there and I loved it. She had such control over the lyrics and was going deep for some of them and I enjoyed it.
Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell) – “Shine On”
This is what Sawyer does best. He takes a song that not many of us know and he nails it. This was a subdue song and he did such a good job with it and he is winning me back folks!
ROUND 2
Kimberly Nichole (Team Christina) – “Dirty Diana” by Michael Jackson
I love this song and I love Kimberly. While I loved her performance and loved the sass being back in her performance, I felt it was a lot of words in there and she seemed to stumble over some of the lyrics at times. It didn’t take away from the performance though!
Joshua Davis (Team Adam) – “In My Life” by The Beatles
I know Joshua has many fans out there, but I just can’t do it. I like him and think he has a good voice, but it is another good performance that bored me.
Koryn Hawthorne (Team Pharrell) – “Dream On” by Aerosmith
I don’t know what it is, but her voice seems to be annoying me tonight on The Voice USA 2015. Anyone else? Maybe it is the song choices and the arrangement, as they both started slow for me and then she kicked it in and I enjoyed it. She ended well with this one too.
India Carney (Team Christina) – “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith
She brought a different arrangement to this one and I enjoyed it. This was better than her first performance and I felt some emotion behind the lyrics, but that last note was a little rough.
Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell) – “Take Me To The River” by Talking Heads
Well, well, well! It looks like Sawyer was coming to win it all tonight, huh? It was so good to see him put that guitar down and have a little fun up there. This was a great song choice and he sounded so good on it. I think he officially won me back tonight, as he had two great performances!
Meghan Linsey (Team Blake) – “Amazing Grace”
Blake wanted to breakdown that first verse and just do it a capella! To be honest, that was a great thought by Blake and the beginning of this one was perfect. She sounded great and I wanted to keep listening to just her. She still sounded great with the music, as it was a simple but powerful performance.
The performances are done for tonight! Who are you voting for tonight?
