I was intrigued to see the Team Shakira performance on The Voice USA 2014 last night, especially after the tragic performance by Shakira on The Voice USA Season 6 last week! I know she can sing, but she took the stage and was a lip syncing disaster. Clearly she doesn’t do it often, as she failed big time and looked beyond ridiculous. So, last night on The Voice 2014 she had the chance to redeem herself when she took the stage with Tess Boyer and Kristen Merlin for the Team Shakira performance. Did she redeem herself? The Voice - Season 6

For the performance, they take on “The One Thing” from Shakira’s new album. Maybe it is the Shakira show and Kristen and Tess are her backup singers, but I feel this was a much better performance and Shakira redeemed herself. She can sing and that is shown with this performance. They all can sing and I actually thought this was very fun to watch.


This is the reason why The Voice is a success: the coaches are so involved in their artists success and actually get up there and perform with them. They don’t sit and judge them, but they try and help them. They get the big name stars to coach and then they take the stage and perform, which is always a blast to see.
