We are entering the final week of blind auditions on The Voice USA 2014 and I could not be any happier. Not because I want them to end, but I enjoy The Voice Season 6 even more as the season goes on and on and we see all the rounds and live shows on The Voice USA Season 6 plays out! By the time tomorrow night is done, The Voice 2014 coaches (Usher, Adam Levine, Shakira and Blake Shelton) will have their teams completed and time for the Battle Rounds! Watch who makes it through tonight during our The Voice USA 2014 Recap below!

The Voice - Season 6

Last week on The Voice USA Season 6, the coaches continued their fight to create the best team for Season 6. The talent has been very good this season, as we have seen a ton of four-chair turnarounds. These are my favorites because that means the coaches have to battle it out to get that singer to pick them as their coach. We have seen these coaches pull out all the tricks, but it seems like Adam Levine often wins the four-chair turnarounds, so maybe he uses his charm and good looks to win them over?

Here we go…up first tonight is Kat Perkins, who grew up in a town with 300 people! She does not remember growing up without singing. She did country when she was younger, but then started a rock band. The band opened for Bon Jovi, but then her and her drummer husband divorced and the band fell apart. She moved away from music and is now a nanny and the kids have talked her into trying out for The Voice USA 2014. She sings “Gold Dust Woman” and has a strong voice. I like the tone of it and it is very solid. She gets Adam and Shakira to turn around, but then hits a big note and Usher turns around for her as well! She picks Team Adam and his shutout last Tuesday is done!

Gabi Ramirez is up next and he moved out to California after college to pursue music. He plays music on the street to make some extra cash. He grew up and soccer was a huge part of his life, but he found in college that he really enjoyed singing. He sings “The A Team” and his voice is not what I was expecting. He has a good voice, but he is not blowing away the coaches with anything special right now. It never happens, so no one hits their button for him and he is headed home.

Paula Deanda said that music has always been a part of her life. She wrote a song when she was 16 years old and went to every radio station to promote it. She then auditioned for Clive Davis and got signed and opened for Rihanna. She recorded two albums in English and Spanish, but only one was released because her label dropped her. She has now been doing music again for five years and this would be a rebirth for her career and is a huge fan of Shakira. She has a killer voice and gets Shakira and Blake to hit their buttons. Paula picks Team Blake, in a shocker on The Voice USA 2014!

Our next performer is Jake Barker and he was always in sports in school, but he has big stage fright and it kept him away from music. He put up a YouTube video and it got attention, but he could do it in his apartment and alone. He went to New York and had a manager, but it never worked out. He now bartends and this would be his first live gig ever and it comes on The Voice USA 2014! He sings “When I Was Your Man” and he is good! He hits some big notes and gives me goosebumps. He gets Usher to turn around early, but then Shakira and Adam join him eventually! Jake picks Team Usher!

Luke Cooper is up next on The Voice USA 2014 and he joined a local band when he was younger and they started touring. He started doing drugs and became addicted. He then found out he was going to be a Dad, which made him change his life and becoming sober and being a father. He works as a nurse now, but in the long run he is a musician and will always be a musician. He sings “Radioactive” and has a very similar sound to the original, so that could hurt him. It does, as no coaches turn for him!

Ria Eaton is hoping to make her Mom proud. Her Mom was a dancer and has her own studio. Ria started dancing, but decided singing was more for her. Her Dad lost his job and the family is struggling. Her Mom had to close the studio and Ria pierces ears at the mall for money, so can’t afford studio time to record the songs she has written. She sings “Cups (When I’m Gone)”
and I am not blown away to start. She kicks it in though and I like it. Blake and Shakira hit buttons right at the very end and Ria picks Team Blake!

Up next we have Cierra Mickens, whose parents divorced when she was three years old. Her father was in the church and she was around it, so she started singing in the choir. She moved back to Alaska after graduating school and there is no where to pursue music there and it is either law school or music for her. She sings “Crazy” and CeeLo Green would be loving it, as am I. She has a different sound, but no one is hitting their buttons! Shakira finally does and Blake and Usher join her! Cierra joins Team Shakira!

Now we get to see Tyler Montgomery, who started singing as a child because his Mom loved Elvis Presley. He has a raspy voice and said he shocks people because he is a country boy. His father died in a house fire and Tyler became very depressed and taught himself the guitar in his room and started writing music as therapy. He sings “I Wish” and his voice is nothing like what you would think it would sound like! He has a very solid voice and is good, but there is nothing special there and no big wow moments and no one turns around for him!

The next artist is Alaska & Madi, who met when they were 12 years old with the group American Kids, which helps kid get back stage fright. They won the same award that Blake Shelton won as a child with his mullet! They have graduated and Madi has moved away, so the end of the duo could come unless this works out on The Voice USA 2014! They sing “Barton Hollow” and Adam hears the two voices and he hits his button. It takes some time, but Blake joins him and will the award-winners team up? They pick Team Blake, so it does work!

Ddendyl is up next and the cows outnumber the population in her hometown! Her Dad is in music and would go out and play the bagpipes and embarrassed her! She started out with opera singing, but then moved to blues and jazz and folk. She is a lounge singer now and pays the bills, but it is not what she wants to do forever. She sings “Stand By Me” and has this awesome tone to her voice. Shakira hits her button right away and no one else joins her, so Ddendyl joins Team Shakira on The Voice 2014!

The final artist of the night is Josh Kaufman. He is 38 years old and a father and husband and that is number one for him. He got his masters and thought he would teach at college, but music is his passion. So, he sings and tutors on the side. Money is tight and he may have to start looking for a real job if this doesn’t work out to provide for them. He sings “One More Try” and he has a solid voice and hit some big notes. We end the night with a four-chair turnaround and all the coaches fight for him, but Josh picks Team Adam!

That is for tonight on The Voice USA 2014 and as the night comes to an end and all the coaches have 11 artists heading in the final night of Blind Auditions tomorrow. Who was your favorite tonight?
