Here we go…
Team Adam: Michael Austin vs. Warren Stone
Song: “My Kind Of Party” by Jason Aldean
This is a battle of the guys looking for a second chance on The Voice 2013 and a battle of the country guys and a battle of the fireman versus the cop! Michael recently had surgery to remove a tumor in his sinuses, so that is not good news for his fate! Warren starts the battle real strong and has a solid country voice. Michael comes in and does real well, but I think Warren has the look and voice that can make it in the business. Michael gets the stamp of approval from Blake, but Adam has the final decision and he picks Warren Stone. No steals for Michael Austin, so he heads back to being a sheriff.
Team Usher: Jeff Lewis vs. Josiah Hawley
Song: “Roxanne” by The Police
Usher paired them together because they are both confident and he wants to see who keeps that confidence on stage. Usher doesn’t know how familiar with the song Jeff is and said he needs to work on one thing and he could nail it. During their last rehearsal, Jeff starts laughing after the first run-through and Usher calls him out on it…oh dang! Whether he wins or not, Josiah was definitely nice to look at during this battle, right??? I’m not sure about this battle on The Voice season 4. They are both good singers, but neither of them blew me away with an amazing voice. Shakira and Adam do not seem impressed with the song choice. The winner of this battle is Josiah Hawley, which surprises me. Jeff Lewis is not stolen, so he heads home!
Some quick battles: Grace Askew wins over Trevor Davis for Team Blake, Audrey Karrasch over Jamila Thompson for Team Usher and Tawnya Reynolds over Mark Andrew for Team Shakira.
Team Blake: Caroline Glaser vs. Danielle Bradbery
Song: “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae
Danielle has never had a singing lesson, so her first one is with Blake and Sheryl Crow. How about that one? They both are inexperienced singers, so Blake put them against each other to get some more practice. Blake said the person who will win this battle is the one who has more confidence on stage, so that is pretty clear, huh? I think this was the perfect song choice for both of these girls and their voices. They sound really good, but it does seem that Danielle is letting her nerves get to her. A great battle, in my eyes. Blake hates that he put them together, but he picks Danielle Bradbery as the winner! It doesn’t take long, but Usher and Adam hit their buttons and the battle is on to steal Caroline Glaser! They both lay it on pretty quick, but the decision is up to Caroline and she goes Team Adam. Good choice for her?
