It has been a while, but one of my favorite shows will return tonight on NBC, as The Sing Off 2013 will make it’s return will a special three-week holiday run! The Sing Off Season 4 will bring us ten groups and 100 voices performing on that stage in front of the judges (Jewel, Sean Stockman and Ben Folds). Nick Lachey is back as host, but Mark Burnett takes over as executive producer and he will try to liven up a show that has not been on the air in two years! The Sing-Off

Since we have not seen The Sing Off on-air in two years, we have seen a lot of changes on TV and in pop culture. The Voice  is a mainstay now on NBC and with their lead-in tonight, NBC is hoping The Sing Off Season 4 is a success. Also, a capella has become popular, especially with the success of Pentatonix, the Season 3 winner, and the success of the movie Pitch Perfect. I mean, how many videos of that damn “Cups” song were uploaded to YouTube???


With all that being said, I think this is a brilliant show and I love the concept. These are people with true talent. They sing live and all the music and instruments are done with their voices. No bands and no computer to make them sound better. Talent through and through is about to hit the stage tonight on NBC, so watch a sneak peek of it right here:
