When you are competing against both a holiday weekend and The Voice 2013, you are bound and determined to come up short and that is what happened with The Bachelorette 2013 ratings, as the Season 9 premiere had the lowest ratings in franchise history! No one wants to see Desiree Hartsock find love on The Bachelorette Season 9? I think they might, but our The Bachelorette 2013 spoilers tells us she is the first Bachelorette to have to compete against The Voice and ABC might not put them up against each other in future seasons!

For The Bachelorette 2013 premiere, there were 5.8 million viewers and a 1.9 adult rating, which is not good at all! Compare that to The Voice, which had 10.9 million viewers and a 3.1 adult rating. Numbers were down for The Voice as well, but you expect that on a holiday weekend.


So, The Bachelorette 2013 ratings were the worst in franchise history, but how bad:

  • Emily Maynard had 8.05 million for Season 8
  • Ashley Hebert had 9.02 million for Season 7
  • Ali Fedotowsky had 9.08 million for Season 6
