Typing that title made me cringe, because how could anyone think that The Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock is ugly? According to some new The Bachelorette 2013 spoilers, the men on The Bachelorette Season 9 may have been thinking that and were disappointed when they found out Desiree Hartsock would be the new Bachelorette! WHAT?!?!?

I’ll be the first to admit that I was not rooting for Desiree to be named the new Bachelorette and I thought runner-up Lindsay Yenter would have been a more fun choice, but I don’t work at ABC and my thoughts were not listened to. It appears not many people enjoy Desiree as The Bachelorette 2013, as ratings are bombing this season, but ABC is hoping they improve once The Voice wraps up Season 4 this week.


According to the June 17th print edition of STAR magazine, a source claims the guys were miserable. The behind-the-scenes source said the guys thought Des was boring and they could be dating someone sexier back at home, which some of them even were! They wanted that final rose though because it meant some time in the spotlight and they could gain the fame they all went on the show seeking! The source went on to say that it was impossible for any of the guys to form a connection with Des because that was not even possible to do!

I don’t know how this all qualifies Desiree as the ugliest Bachelorette ever, but I will disagree with that one. By no means is she ugly. She may be boring, but I think she is just a normal, girl-next-door and doesn’t bring that drama that people like to watch on the show. The guys are bringing the drama though, so that helps a little. Des won’t end up with any of the guys this season, but will anyone be shocked?
