The Amazing Race 2014 Live Recap: Finale – Season 24 Winner Is…

We are down to Dave & Connor, Rachel & Brendon and Caroline & Jen on The Amazing Race 2014 and one of these teams on The Amazing Race All Stars 2014 will be crowned the winner of The Amazing Race Season 24 tonight! They have fought through different countries, Road Blocks and Detours, but the end has arrived! Last week on The Amazing Race All Stars 2014, the four teams made their way to London, England, and got to kick some soccer balls while at Anfield Stadium. Then it was off to recite a Welch poem correctly, which all of the teams struggled with (and we would have too)! Then it was either tossing boots or shooting clay pigeons. This is where is got interesting, as we saw Leo & Jamal fall behind the pack while getting lost between challenges. Then Rachel & Brendon used the wrong size boot and had to redo the entire course. It was a battle to the finish line, but karma may have gotten The Afghanimals, as Team Brenchel finished third and Leo & Jamal finished last and were eliminated!

Here we go…things kick off with Dave & Connor and they get the first clue, which has the teams heading to Las Vegas, which happens to be where Brendon & Rachel live! Caroline & Jen head out and one of them went to high school in Vegas. Team Brenchel take off and they are all headed to the airport.

The teams on The Amazing Race 2014 land in Vegas and get in vehicles with their drivers, so where they headed now? They get taken way out to some random place and told to dig! The teams are all digging and Team Brenchel is throwing their sand in the other holes. It looks like they are playing dirty, huh??? Dave & Connor get it first and it is a big box and mentions David Copperfield, but no clue how to open it. Rachel climbs in back of truck to get some tools and Brendon gets into it, which is a ring of a ton of keys!

Dave & Connor get to the clue and it is a Road Block: one of the members will be shackled in a box and use the keys to unlock the shackles and do all this stuff to get out of the big wooden box! Connor, Jen and Rachel will be put inside the box. They ask for the keys from Dave, so he slams the box down and breaks it open. Connor is shackled in and Dave gives him the keys and it is on! The other members will watch from a video monitor.

We see the teams trying to get unlocked with all the keys, but Connor gets it and is undone and then working the jars on top and gets back inside to pick the locks and they set the box on fire! He is saying pull the switch and the box drops and he falls and flames everywhere and a big black cloud of smoke. Where did he go???

David Copperfield asks for the fire department and Connor runs up in a fireman outfit! They get the next clue, which is to head to the Neon Boneyard Museum for their next clue! Rachel gets it done next and they head out and Jen is next and they head out!

Dave & Connor arrive at the museum and are searching for the clue. They find the clue box and tells them to unscrew a light bulb from a certain question mark sign and take it to the Mirage Hotel. They find it right away and head out as Rachel & Brendon get there and then Caroline & Jen get there!

Rachel & Brendon find the light bulb and Caroline & Jen get there. Team Brenchel has a slow taxi driver, so Brendon tries to steal the cab from Caroline & Jen! The taxi driver is not having it and says he is waiting on the girls. He tries to offer more money, but doesn’t accept and they are pissed!

Dave & Connor are lost, so Caroline & Jen pass them and are leading! They get to the clue and they will ride a window cart and have to fix the lightbulbs in the Mirage sign and get the letter “I” working and have the correct amount of lightbulbs it takes. They start and Dave & Connor get started and Rachel & Brendon are still in the taxi with the slow driver and karma is a bitch!

Caroline & Jen are installing all the light bulbs and then will go back to count them. Dave & Connor are putting in the bulbs and counting as they go. Rachel & Brendon arrive at hotel and have no clue what they are doing. She wants to go to entrance and he wants to search the hotel for clue! I am loving it!

They finally found the clue box and he is saying it is us, even though he won’t listen to anything she is saying. They head out to start on the bulbs. Dave & Connor have moved past Caroline & Jen and have finished the bulbs. They say it is 240, but it is not correct. They try 241 and it is correct, so they head down! Caroline & Jen are done and get the correct number, so they are headed down also!

Dave & Connor are down and get the clue, which has them heading to Maverick Helicopters. Caroline & Jen are right behind them on The Amazing Race 2014! Rachel & Brendon have finished and are heading down! Dave & Connor get lost, but then see Caroline & Jen and pass them and they both get to the clue box at the same time! It is a Road Block: they have to skydive from a helicopter in a futuristic suit. They have to search for a sign and then fall to their partner. Dave and Caroline are heading up in the helicopters and Connor and Jen head out in the taxi. Brendon starts and Rachel heads out in the taxi, as her tears continue!

Dave and Caroline both spot the sign and their jumps are approved!!! The teams and mats are there, but who will fall first??? They will land at the speedway and race to get to Phil Keoghan!

The anticipation is killing us, but we see Dave!!! They race to the mat and are the winners of The Amazing Race 2014!!! They are the oldest and youngest winners in the history and the first parent-child duo to have won! Caroline & Jen finish in second and Brendon & Rachel finish in third. Maybe nice guys finish in first, huh?
