We have the final round of duels on Rising Star 2014 tonight and ABC seems to be over the show just as well, as they have not released a press release in weeks and no video preview for Rising Star on ABC tonight! At least we aren’t alone on how bad these singers are, but they are bound to contract and will ride it out to the very end. Four more battles tonight and then we get closer to finding out the winner of Rising Star Season 1, who will go on to big things, right? It looks like ABC is going to be playing up a certain matchup tonight on Rising Star 2014, as Round 2 of the Duels on Rising Star on ABC continue. This matchup: Macy Kate (the girl “randomly” selected through the Instagram auditions and picked from the audience during the premiere) against Gabrielle Nicole (who joked about not wanting to be any of the other contestants that would be going up against here). I think ABC wants Macy Kate to be the winner of Rising Star 2014, but they are putting their eggs in one basket that can’t sing very well! The Rising Star auditions 2014 are behind us and the final 20 on Rising Star 2014 will now move on to the Duels on Rising Star on ABC and compete against the wall and each other to move on to the next round! This is the first week of the Duels and should be interesting to see how this all plays out, even though it is very similar to the Battle Rounds on The Voice. We have reached the final week of the Rising Star 2014 auditions and one last week of performers trying to raise the wall on ABC’s Rising Star, but is it too late in the game for anyone to really care about it? The show was hyped up big time and it has been nothing but a disappoint for me, as I find myself bored for two hours and want more from the singers and the experts on Rising Star 2014 (Ludacris, Brad Paisley and Kesha). We are down to the final auditions on Rising Star 2014 and time to see if America is still even watching the show and if they will then turn around and vote for their favorites on Rising Star on ABC! The show started with such hype and excitement, but then the show airs and it is boring and hard to sit through for two full hours, even though Rising Star host Josh Groban tries his hardest to be funny! We then have the Rising Star experts 2014 (Kesha, Ludacris and Brad Paisley) handing out their votes to help push the contestants over that 70% brink! One can only hope that Rising Star 2014 will get better tonight on ABC or we are in for another long two hours of performers trying to Raise The Wall on Rising Star on ABC! They definitely hyped this up to be some exciting and thrilling show and the fans would be involved. However, it turned out to be a night of people voting and hoping to see their Facebook picture show up on the wall! Week 2 on ABC’s Rising Star can only get better, right? I don’t know if you tuned into the premiere of Rising Star 2014 last week or not, but it was pretty much a trainwreck with no enthusiasm from anyone but Rising Star host Josh Groban. He even joked about Kesha and not knowing what she was going to say, so the censors were on call. They were needed for ABC’s Rising Star, as Kesha has gotten her act together for now and seemed to just have a big forehead going wrong for her! Ludacris couldn’t sit down in his seat, so maybe he’ll learn where that is during Week 2 on Rising Star on ABC tonight? If Rising Star 2014 on ABC does not do well in the ratings, I am thinking it will be a big loss for ABC because they have put some major marketing behind Rising Star on ABC! They are trying to break into the singing competition genre, but I just don’t see it happening, even with experts Brad Paisley, Kesha and Ludacris lending their opinions every week and Josh Groban taking on the hosting duties. I guess the summer has no singing competition shows, so ABC thinks it is a perfect time to debut another attempt at a singing competition reality show for the network, as Rising Star 2014 makes it’s television debut in one week! It is a twist on the normal singing competition, as Rising Star on ABC airs live and America will be voting live to determine the results! The Rising Star experts (Kesha, Ludacris and Brad Paisley) will only be there to give advice and critiques, but then voting and results are done through social media!
