Survivor 2014 Cagayan Recap: Week 9 – Who Got Eliminated Tonight?

Who knows how things will go tonight on Survivor 2014 Cagayan, but one thing is for certain: Tony is in trouble and he knows the other castaways in his alliance on Survivor Cagayan 2014 might be going after him! His paranoia is working overtime tonight and we will see him hiding in bushes to overhear conversations! We also saw Woo take a nasty tumble from a tree in the Survivor Season 28 previews, so we will see how that plays out tonight! Last week on Survivor Season 28, we saw the alliance of six take over camp. Tasha knew she was on the bottom three and tried to make some moves, but LJ was sticking with Tony and not listening to anything Tasha was offering. Tasha went on and won the Immunity Challenge and made sure she was safe and then Tony started thinking and planning. He wanted to get rid of LJ while he could, so he got the guys on the alliance to vote him out and got Spencer and Jeremiah to go along with it (they were just trying to stay safe). This led to another blindside and LJ was voted off!

Here we go…the castaways make their way back to camp and Jefra questions Tony on why he flipped on LJ. Trish thinks Tony didn’t tell her because she would have tried to bombard the plan, but she still trusts him. Spencer thinks Tony can make a big move any time and he needs to go because of that, but needs to figure out what straggler to take along with him.

The next day arrives and Tony heads out to make a Spy Shack on Survivor 2014 Cagayan. It is by the water well, which is where people go and talk in private, but not now. Trish and Jefra head back and Jefra is not trusting Tony and he lied to her face, but Trish seems to still be on board with Tony.

Reward Challenge: they will be divided into teams of four, They will race out into the water to grab four boxes of paddles (eight total). Once they are back, two castaways will use the paddles to solve a word puzzle. The winning team will be flown out to enjoy a barbecued lunch. The teams are Orange Team (Kass, Trish, Tony and Woo) and Purple Team (Jefra, Tasha, Jeremiah and Spencer).

Things get started and the Purple Team gets out to an early lead. They get to the boxes first, but the Orange Team takes a lead when grabbing the paddles. Tony drops a paddle and it allows the Purple Team to catch up. The Orange Team gets the last paddles as the Purple Team rows past the last box! They are both back at shore and untying the paddles and start solving the puzzle. Woo and Kass for Orange and Spencer and Tasha for Purple. They are both cheating and looking at each other’s puzzle pieces. Tasha and Spencer finally figure it out and get it correct and win the award for the Purple Team and now Tony has to worry about Jefra going on the Reward with the minority alliance members and his paranoia has kicked in on Survivor 2014 Cagayan!

Back at camp, the losing team comes back and thinks that they will brainwash Jefra. Kass wants them all to stick together with the alliance of five, but Tony thinks it is crucial and Jefra needs to go. Trish finds some fruit and wants Woo to come help her get it, so no strategizing. Tony decides to look for the idol in the meantime. Woo is up in the tree getting the papayas and knocking a bunch down, but then he falls down himself! He was up high and in some pain, but he said he is lucky to come out of it okay.

Over at the reward, the four castaways are hiking through a cave, which is beautiful. They arrive at their picnic and are eating all the amazing food and talking some game and trying to get Jefra to jump ship and join their alliance and even out the game. They all agree Tony has to go, but she wants another rib before she decides. Just then, they get letters from home! They all get emotional, but Jefra gets one from her mother and told her to not be fooled by her kind heart. She said those words from her mother are just what she needed at this point and they form an final four alliance with Jefra, Jeremiah, Tasha and Spencer!

Immunity Challenge: they will stand on a narrow beam while holding a platform with a ball on it. They will move down the beam to a more narrow beam as time goes on and hold lower on the pole. Last one standing with ball on platform wins immunity on Survivor Cagayan 2014.

Right as the challenge starts, the wind picks up and they are struggling. Jefra is out quickly and then Trish, Tony and Kass join her on the first round! Ten minutes have passed, so they move down to the next level and move down one level on the pole. Balls back in place and here we go again. Jeremiah falls on this round. We are now 20 minutes in and Woo, Tasha and Spencer head to the narrowest part of the beam and bottom of the pole and now it is until two drop their balls and one wins. Woo is out first, so now it is down to Tasha and Spencer again! Spencer drops the ball and Tasha wins immunity!!!

Let the drama start now, as the castaways get back to camp and Tasha is happy to win immunity. Tony is now on a mission to get that idol knowing he may be on the chopping block. Why is no one following him out there??? Jefra talks to Trish and Kass and she said she is over Tony and she does not trust him. Now Tony is on the hunt and, of course, he finds the Special Idol….ugh. With it, he can use the idol after the votes are cast! He must use it on himself only. Back at camp, Trish calls out Tony and he said he swears on everything that he is loyal to them. Kass thinks Spencer has a Hidden Immunity Idol, so they aren’t sure what to do.

Jefra goes to Jeremiah and told him that she is not voting with the new alliance and going with her old alliance, which is a very nice thing to do. Jeremiah, Tasha and Spencer are chatting and Spencer said he has the Hidden Idol and this is the chance for them to make a move. He said he could make a huge move or be kicking himself with it, but they are going for Woo, which could actually work out!

Tribal Council: Spencer is so good at Tribal Council and getting people thinking. Spencer and Tasha said if Tony makes it to the end, then they are voting for Tony because he has controlled everything. They said they called Tony out on his stuff and he is going to stop now and you have to make power moves. Tony said he brought his bag of tricks again, but Spencer does not believe him. This time he is being honest, which sucks! Time for the vote! Jeff Probst goes and tallies the votes and Spencer was going to give the idol to Jeremiah, but he uses it for himself when Tony taunts him with a bag. Tony is so full of himself and needs to go, but his alliance is stupid!

Votes: Woo, Woo, Woo, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Jeremiah and Jeremiah. He has been eliminated on Survivor 2014 tonight and Spencer used the idol on the wrong person!
