Another night of Rising Star 2014 duels tonight and it will be the last of the bunch, as we move on to the next round on Rising Star on ABC! We have four big duels tonight and the Rising Star experts 2014 (Ludacris, Kesha and Brad Paisley) will give their knowledge and votes and see who moves on. Will it even really matter? Watch it with us tonight during our Rising Star 2014 Recap and see who got eliminated on Rising Star 2014 tonight!

BRAD PAISLEY, KESHA, LUDACRIS

Last week on Rising Star 2014, we had three more duels to sit through. The experts were a little more lenient with their votes and shared them among most of the singers. We had some close calls, but I still laugh about this show. The experts sway the votes and I am sure a lot of people are voting just to see their face on the wall. Either way, we had six more contestants take the stage and three of them survived. After the votes were tallied, we had Macy Kate, April Lockhart and Austin French win their duels and they are moving on to the next round on ABC’s Rising Star.

Here we go…

Morgan Higgins vs. Maneepat Molloy

MORGAN – She said she is a 17-year-old theater nerd and this is the biggest thing she has ever done. Brad Paisley voted no on her. She sings “Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga and has a strong start with a big note. She can get some big notes, but that is it for me. She gets Brad and Kesha to vote for her, but Ludacris is a no and ends up at 45%.

MANEEPAT – She chose this song because a lot of her friends and family have told her to give up on her dreams, so this song fits that. The experts think she is too structured and knows all her moves and needs to be in the moment. She sings “Gravity” by Sara Bareilles. She has a strong voice and hits a big note that lasts forever. The experts all love her and she raises the wall and gets to 66%.

RESULTS: Maneepat gets to 66% and moves on to the next round and Morgan is eliminated.

Shameia Crawford vs. Unselfish

SHAMEIA – Kesha said she was on the fence about the song choice, but said she nailed it during the rehearsals. She sings “Cry Me A River” by Ella Fitzgerald. She has a solid voice and very old school with it. She seems much more confident tonight then her audition. She hits some big notes and gets to 70%.

UNSELFISH – They are the only group to make it through on Rising Star 2014. They sing “Payphone” by Maroon 5. Their pitch is off and I am not hearing the harmonies. Adam Levine has a unique voice and is able to hit those higher notes. It did not work for me here and it didn’t work for America either, as they get to only 33%.

RESULTS: Shameia gets to 70% and moves on, which means that Unselfish is headed home.

Dana Williams vs. Audrey Kate Geiger

DANA – Her dad passed away and left his guitar with her, so she brings it with her everywhere. She sings “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” by The Shirelles. She has that unique twang to her voice and an indy vibe to her. She hits some good notes and I like her and gets to 67%.

AUDREY KATE – Her Dad was a singer and gave it up and does not want her to do the same thing. She sings “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele and that is a tough task to take on, but I love it and I don’t say that much about Rising Star 2014. She has a sound to her voice that I am a fan of and she is strong on this song. She gets to 88%.

RESULTS: Audrey Kate makes it to 88% and wins this duel, which means Dana is headed home.

Karen Hornsby vs. Joshua Peavy

KAREN – She said she was extremely emotional during the audition, so maybe we will see more confidence tonight? She sings “Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin. She has a rasp to her voice that I like, but this performance is so rough. She is pitchy and it is all over the place. It sounds like she has a cold and is trying to sing, but the experts all give her a yes vote and gets to 67%.

JOSHUA – He was the first contestant on the first show. He sings “Too Close” by Alex Clare. He has a strong voice and I am somewhat impressed by some of the singers tonight! Is it too much like the original though? His voice is very solid and gets to 75%.

RESULTS: Joshua gets to 75% and is moving on and Karen is eliminated.
