That meant things were going to be shiny and bright on the runway, but it didn’t end shiny and bright for one designer! Project Runway All Stars 2019 Spoilers - Week 6 Recap

Last week on Project Runway All Stars Season 7, the designers headed out to Turtleback Zoo and had to choose one of the animals to use an inspiration for their night out on the town look. Some had no issues with this challenge, but then others were struggling, like Django, who seems to get frazzled whenever Anne Fulenwider gives him a bad critique. We also saw some drama between Michelle and Dmitry, who felt her inspiration for her look came from one of his previous looks. Despite Django’s look being terrible and nothing like the lion he picked, he was safe and it was Juli sent home!

The Challenge

The founder of Butter London joins Alyssa Milano on the runway, as she introduces the new Glazen line for Butter London. For this challenge, they will be creating an elegant red carpet look using metallic and their design should include a unique texture. The winner of this challenge will get $5,000 plus a year’s supply of Butter London makeup for their fashion shows.

Workroom

The designers get some time to play with the Butter London makeup to inspire their looks, as then they do some sketching and head off to Mood. Anya is struggling with this one, as she normally does a flowy-look and she can’t find a fabric like that to use in metallic. Dmitry and Michelle hug it out after their fight last week. Sean is working with fringe, which is no shocker there. Django is hoping for good advice from Anne today. It didn’t go great for Django and he was stressing out, yet again. Biddell is done early, yet again, and the other designers are not happy and said he needs to be knocked down a peg. On runway day, Sean helps Anya finish her look.

Anne’s Critiques

Time for Anne Fulenwider to come in for her critiques on Project Runway All Stars 2019! Anne said that Irina’s dress looks like a prom dress and trashy. She thinks Michelle’s red carpet look is quite subdued. She thinks Dmitry’s look is going old lady and Christina has too much fabric. Anne thinks Django’s fabric is very nice, but it could go grandma.

Top and Bottom Looks – Week 6

After the runway show on Project Runway All Stars 2019, we find out that the top and bottom looks come from Sean, Biddell, Michelle, Django, Irina and Anya.

Judge’s Critiques

The judges tonight were Alyssa Milano, Georgina Chapman, Isaac Mizrahi and guest judges Wendy Williams, Danica Patrick and Lily Aldridge. Here is feedback from each designer:

  • Sean – Wendy said she wanted more leg. Danica said the top was too heavy for the bottom. Alyssa said it was interesting from every angle, which is key for a red carpet.
  • Anya – Lily said it’s super risky to make sleeves like that. Isaac said the sleeves wreck it. Wendy loved it.
  • Irina – Alyssa said it’s a great fabric choice. Georgina said it looks heavy, but overall it’s beautiful.
  • Django – Georgina said it has grown on her since standing here. Lily said it feels heavy.
  • Biddell – Alyssa said she can see Cate Blanchett wearing this. Georgina said the lines in the front are beautiful. Danice said the fabric is unforgiving.
  • Michelle – Alyssa said horizontal stripes on the red carpet is not good. Wendy said she would wear this to a music festival and have the time of her life. Danica said she was looking for something to pop from it.

Results

The judges discussed all of the looks from tonight and the winning look tonight on Project Runway All Stars 2019 comes from Sean. The bottom two looks come from Michelle and Anya, but the judges decided to send Anya Ayoung-Chee home tonight!
