The reigning “American Idol” champion Lee DeWyze’s first album “Live it Up” is set to drop Nov. 16, but the first single from the album is creating a buzz already. Listen to the new song below and let us know what you think. It kind of surprised me (not in a good way). It just doesn’t sound like the same artist I heard last season on “Idol.” Kind of odd. Maybe it’ll grow on me. Songs have a way of doing that.

I do like it & yes, it is definitely different from what we’ve heard from Lee in the past. That is one of the things I really admire about this artist – he always brings something new to the table. Just found out he also co-wrote on the single. He certainly has people talking! Great job Lee! I just pre-ordered the album from Wal-Mart & can’t wait!!!!!

Congrats on nice lyrics and instrumentals. Should play really well on the radio. Very catchy tune.

I am the biggest Lee Dewyze fan but this is just too overdone. So disappointing. I have a headache after listening to it one time. Wow!! It seems like they are just trying too hard. Does anyone else see that?

Not what I expected but kind of catchy. Hope the rest of the album is a little more gritty though.

I am not sure how I feel. I like it but I am kind of disappointed. I really liked his other 2 albums and this song is definitely different. Hoping his new album has some of the same sound. Just thinking that this song or sound will identify with more of a younger crowd (maybe that is a good thing) but I am thinking he should want to identify with all age groups. Time will tell. Still looking forward to your album…. By the way, I am 50.

I loved it! It was different from his other albums, but that is a great thing. I would get a little tired of the same music all the time. This is different but still has his great voice. Way to go, Lee. (By the way, I am 61.)
