Last Comic Standing 2014 Spoilers: Roseanne Says She Would Have Won Show!
| May 29, 2014 at 10:19 AM EDTWe saw the premiere of Last Comic Standing 2014 last week and some very funny comedians made their way in front of the Last Comic Standing judges 2014 (Keenan Ivory Wayans, Roseanne Barr and Russell Peters) and made it to the next round of the competition. It looks like Roseanne did some thinking and she claims, back in the day, she would have won this show had it been on in her prime! To be honest, I may not argue with that statement one bit! I am a huge fan of Roseanne and she held her own during the Last Comic Standing Season 8 premiere last week (she even told some guy to go f*** himself)! Her own television show was one of my favorites (and still is). So, had Last Comic Standing been on when Roseanne was out doing stand-up and in her prime, would she have won? She did an interview with ChicagoPride and gave us that answer:
“I would have won. In fact I did win the Denver Laugh Off, which propelled my career. I did a number of other un-televised comedy contests. I think I would’ve really worked really hard. That’s what I like about these comics because they’re prepared. I wouldn’t become part of any contest unless I was really prepared and thought I could win. That’s what I think we have here. We’re seeing who’s prepared and who isn’t prepared.
That’s the most exciting part to me. But, of course I have to say I would’ve won. You have to have that kind of self-confidence being a stand-up comic. You have to really believe in what you do and that you’re the best at doing what you do. We’ve seen a lot of people on this show, you know, come in like that and falter.”
