Hell’s Kitchen 2014 Season 13 Recap: Week 9 – Who Was Eliminated Tonight?
| November 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM ESTIt looks like Chef Gordon Ramsay is switching things up tonight on Hell’s Kitchen 2014, as he is putting the chefs on Hell’s Kitchen Season 13 to the test of creating Indian dishes and then adding them to the menu for dinner service. Yes, it is Indian Night on Hells Kitchen 2014, but which chefs will be feeling the heat? Find out with us during our Hell’s Kitchen 2014 Season 13 Recap and see who went home on Hell’s Kitchen 2014 tonight!
Last week on Hells Kitchen Season 13, things kicked off with some Hell’s Kitchen Craps and the chefs were rolling the die to get a letter to pick an ingredient. All the ingredients they chose would be used to create a dish, so they had to be compatible with each other. The Red Team won the challenge, which sent the Blue Team working day and night on Delivery Day. This hard labor led to Steve Rosenthal hurting his knee and having to withdraw from the competition! At dinner service, everyone seemed to have a good night except Frank Bilotti on the Red Team. His station kept them behind all night and it eventually led to him being eliminated from the competition!

Here we go…the Red Team said there are no more excuses now that Frank is gone and they have to kill it at the next dinner service. Meanwhile, Aaron says he doesn’t want the chef’s job and he wants to earn it and not sure if he can do that while on the show. So, he thinks he won’t win and this is his excuse of not looking bad?
CHALLENGE: Chef Ramsay said that traveling is part of being a chef and he has fallen in love with Indian cuisine. For the challenge, they will be cooking four dishes (chicken, lamb, pork and cod). There is a tablet and one chef has to move around the ingredients to be in the row of the protein. They have three minutes to move the pieces around and it is Aaron and Roe moving the pieces. Roe is a little slow and screws up with lentils and chickpeas with the chicken, but Sterling wanted the yogurt.
The chefs starts cooking and two chefs will be cooking the same protein on the Blue Team since they have an extra chef. Jennifer is freaking out because she has never eaten or cooked Indian food. Aaron is pretty confident about this Indian challenge and he has all this knowledge, but the more you act like you know, the more you don’t know! Time runs out and time for tasting and they pick Sade’s dish over Santos.
TASTING: The team with the most points wins this challenge on Hell’s Kitchen 2014:
- Lamb – 7 for Red and 5 for Blue (Aaron)
- Chicken – 3 for Red and 7 for Blue
- Cod – 5 for Red and 4 for Blue, so a 16-15 lead for Blue Team
- Pork – 7 for Blue and 8 for Red, so it is tied at 23
The highest scoring dish wins it for their team, so Jennifer got out 8 out of 10 and the Red Team wins this challenge! For winning, they get a day of pampering and a special surprise upstairs, which happens to be some blenders that they are loving. For losing, the Blue Team will be prepping for the Indian dishes added to the menu and they’ll be cleaning the dining room.
The Red Team is enjoying their day, but Sade is not happy and a wreck after losing like six challenges in a row. She is crying and yelling at everyone! We go back to Aaron being an amazing chef, so I think he is going home tonight. The Red Team gets back and getting ready for dinner service, but Sade is still bitter with losing and throwing out a major attitude. Chef Ramsay pulls her aside, but gives her a pep talk and said she has been getting better and better and be great tonight!
DINNER SERVICE: The tickets start coming back and Bryant wants to show Chef Ramsay he can lead and he is making this dinner service his bitch! Of course, he helps out Aaron and sends up raw scallops! Meanwhile, Jennifer is working garnish and she has one million flatbreads ordered. Sterling helps her out, but she is not feeling good with his help. I don’t know why everyone hates him or thinks he is terrible, as the flatbreads get Chef Ramsay’s approval and apps going out for Red Team.
The Blue Team seems to hate everyone and Bryant helps Aaron and screws it up again. Bryant and Sade go at it. With all that, they are sending out apps. We then see Sterling nail the risotto over and over again (with his own mix going on). Roe tries to burn the kitchen down!
Sade and Aaron are working on entrees and she nails the beef wellington, but he can’t cook halibut and it gets sent back and Bryant talks crap, even though he screwed up all night. The Red Team is killing it on the entrees and their tickets continue to go out. Over in the Blue Team, Aaron is screwing up the fish station. Sade seems to be the only one working on the Blue Team (or should I say working properly). They all get it together and dinner service has been completed for both teams.
In front of Chef Ramsay and he said the winning team tonight by a long mile is the Red Team! Now the Blue Team has to nominate two chefs for elimination. Back in the dorms, when did Bryant get all ghetto? Does he know how stupid he looks? Bryant is going nuts and trying to make everyone else looks bad, but he is the one who couldn’t cook. This is a joke and Bryant has no balls.
RESULTS: Back in front of Chef Ramsay and the nominees tonight on Hell’s Kitchen Season 13 are Aaron and Bryant. They step in front of Chef Ramsay and Aaron says he wants to be a five-star Michelin chef and winning Hell’s Kitchen won’t do that. He wants to learn his craft and learn more, so pretty much he withdrew from the competition! Why does he quit now???? Aaron goes home and Bryant is safe.
