| July 17, 2014 at 7:00 PM EDTIt is a big night in Hell’s Kitchen 2014, as Gordon Ramsay will take the four remaining chefs on Hells Kitchen 2014 and send two of them home and the final two chefs on Hell’s Kitchen Season 12 will be determined! We are one week away from finding out the winner of Hell’s Kitchen 2014 and tonight will make that picture even clearer for us! So, who makes the Hell’s Kitchen Season 12 finale? Find out during our Hell’s Kitchen 2014 Recap and see who went home on Hell’s Kitchen 2014 tonight!
Last week on Hells Kitchen Season 12, the chefs started the night with an individual challenge that had them cooking with leftovers from the kitchen! The winning dish would be featured in Better Homes & Gardens magazine, which Scott was the proud winner of. At dinner service, the pressure was getting to Joy, shockingly, and she kept screwing up. Chef Ramsay was calling her out on it and she was getting more and more flustered. In a shocker, Joy had enough and said she was done! She threw her apron and jacket and walked out the doors on her own. I seriously thought she would be one of the final two chefs and now she is gone!

Here we go…
DORMS: Jason thought Joy was his big competition, so surprised that she walked out. Rochelle gives Scott some props and thought he was a mess, but he has proven himself.
The chefs head down to the kitchen and meet Chef Ramsay and he has some CIA agents. He said they have some important dignitaries. They have to go through metal detectors and play it up, but they are their families and loved ones. Rochelle gets her fiance and parents. Melanie has her boyfriend and mother. Jason has his girlfriend and mother. Scott has his wife and kids and bring on the tears! They get some special time in Hell’s Kitchen. They get to eat and spend some time with them, but then Chef Ramsay sends them away.
CHALLENGE: For this challenge, it will be the “Taste It, Now Make It” Challenge and will have 40 minutes to recreate the dish they ate with their families. The problem: Melanie didn’t eat any of it and the others didn’t really eat much or pay attention to it. They have one sample plate to try it again. For the protein, everyone but Scott uses Sole. Scott uses escolar. For the garnish, everyone but Melanie used butternut squash and Melanie used pumpkin. For the puree, Rochelle is using parsley, Scott and Jason use watercress and Melanie uses arugula.
TASTING: He just says wow for Rochelle., interesting for Melanie, nice tasting dish for Scott and interesting for Jason as well.
RESULTS: The protein was sole, so Scott is out. The garnish is butternut squash, so Melanie is out. It is down to Scott with watercress and Rochelle with parsley for the puree. One of them is correct and the winner is Jason and he feels he is on a roll, but what else has he won?
REWARDS: Jason will be going on a VIP restaurant tour and his family will be accompanying him! He will have surprises along the tour and his first surprise is in the dorms. The three losing chefs will take part in Moving Day in Hell’s Kitchen 2014! Jason goes up to the dorms and gets stainless steel cookware! Jason heads out on the tour with Chef Andi and he said he is not worried about any of the three chefs left. She said he needs to stay focused and he’ll do fine. For the moving day, Scott is doing all of the work and they sit back and watch! The girls eat and he is hauling beds….I would be killing them!
DINNER SERVICE: This will determine which two chefs make the finale and each of them will get a chance to run the pass. The doors open and the diners start coming in on Hells Kitchen 2014. The tickets start coming back and the apps start going out with no issue. Rochelle is up first on the pass. Jason said she is talking too fast. Then Chef James sends up salads and she doesn’t think they look appealing. She keeps giggling because of nerves, so Chef Ramsay pulls her aside and tells her to get it together. She does come back strong and catches Chef James trying to send up risotto with shrimp and not lobster and she ends strong.
Melanie gets her turn and Chef Ramsay tests her right away by adding something to the first ticket that is not on the menu. She still calls it back, but knows it is not on the menu. She gets it fixed. Then calling back more orders and no one is responding to her. Scott said she needs a few more years to command a kitchen. Apparently she finds her voice and gets her tickets headed out of the kitchen.
Now it is time for Scott to run the pass. He starts strong with his leadership and entrees are going out at a rapid pace. Chef James send up duck breast with the chicken and catches it. This sets Scott off and he is sending back everything it seems! While the other chefs are annoyed, Chef Ramsay is impressed and the diners are getting nearly perfect dishes on Hells Kitchen 2014!
Jason is the last chef to run the pass. He starts out while joking and trying to have fun with everyone, but that turns into a slow kitchen and no food is coming out of the kitchen now! Chef Ramsay pulls him aside and said he is running a kitchen and they are not his best friends. Entrees are going out and Chef James sends up salmon instead of halibut and Jason catches it and the final entrees are handed out!
DORMS: Chef Ramsay will decide who makes the finale, but he asks the chefs to decide who they would not move on to the finale. No big shocker, but the guys think the girls should go home and the girls think the guys should go home! Who do you think it will be?
RESULTS: The chefs are back in front of Chef Ramsay. Melanie said Scott should not be in the finale because he was not present for the first half of the competition. Rochelle said Scott is not a great leader. Scott said Melanie is inexperienced. Jason said Rochelle gets too frantic in the kitchen! The first chef eliminated tonight on Hell’s Kitchen 2014 is Rochelle!
Now Chef Ramsay switches it to who makes the finale and the first person going to the finale is Scott!!! Joining him is Jason, which means that Melanie has been eliminated and an all-male finale!
