Big news out of the Dancing with the Stars All Stars arena: Melissa Rycroft was injured today at rehearsals and sent to the hospital in an ambulance! The All Star dancers were rehearsing their group routine for tomorrow’s Dancing with the Stars 2012 episode and Rycroft suffered a head and neck injury.

All the dancers will be doing a Team Freestyle routine tomorrow on Dancing with the Stars All Stars and they were doing camera blocking for the group number when she fell. Her reps released a statement to People Magazine that said: “Melissa was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined. She was accompanied to the hospital by her husband, Tye Strickland, and her dance partner, Tony Dovolani. Everyone is taking all necessary precautions at this time.”

While it seems like they are taking precautionary measures to assure Rycroft is alright, but it seems kind of extreme that they sent her away by ambulance, right? Dancing with the Stars is often known for injuries, but it has been on the quiet front this season. It is not known  if Melissa and Tony will be dancing tomorrow or not, so keep checking here for updates.

Melissa is one of the final eight all-star dancers this season on Dancing with the Stars All Stars and has had a strong season so far. The dancers are to dance twice tomorrow night, as they take on an individual routine followed by the group routine which took Melissa down! So, do you think Melissa will be hitting the dance floor tomorrow night on Dancing with the Stars 2012?

Update: Her reps have told E! News that she has been released from the hospital. No word on if she will dance tomorrow night or night.
