All the hype and commercials and talk can come to an end tonight on ABC, as the Rising Star 2014 premiere finally happens and we can see if this show is going to be legit or not. I am worried about it, especially since ABC has tried their hand in the singing competition business and failed big time. If anything, ABC’s Rising Star should bring some entertainment to our Sunday nights, right? If Rising Star 2014 on ABC does not do well in the ratings, I am thinking it will be a big loss for ABC because they have put some major marketing behind Rising Star on ABC! They are trying to break into the singing competition genre, but I just don’t see it happening, even with experts Brad Paisley, Kesha and Ludacris lending their opinions every week and Josh Groban taking on the hosting duties.
