I mentioned this during my live recap for American Idol 2013 last night, but it seemed to me that judge Nicki Minaj was giving out nicknames left and right to all the contestants. Well, I guess I was seeing a pattern and FOX made a video to show off some of the nicknames that Nicki has handed out during the American Idol auditions 2013.

The American Idol auditions 2013 took place in Charlotte, North Carolina, last night and it seemed that new American Idol judge Keith Urban was getting a lot of love from the contestants before he left for an event with his wife Nicole Kidman. One person who shared that love was Jimmy Smith, who said he was inspired by Keith to become a singer.

The sad back stories for the contestants on American Idol 2013 always seem to be the auditions that they show. Apparently America wants to cry and needs to cry in order to like these singers. Isn’t it about the singing on American Idol 2013 and not the stories?

The American Idol auditions 2013 took us to Charlotte tonight for the first time and it brought us some very good talent and some crazy people, of course. The fight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey happened in Charlotte, but let’s not focus on that.
