American Idol Hollywood Week Live Recap: Season 12 Top 40 Are…

We have reached Part 4 of Hollywood Week on American Idol 2013 and even though it was broken up into two weeks, the American Idol Season 12 Top 40 results will be announced all on one night…tonight! The ladies of American Idol 2013 Season 12 will take the stage for one last solo round and then it is up to the American Idol judges to decide which 20 girls and which 20 boys make it to Vegas next week on American Idol 2013! FOX must be flying through these solo rounds tonight, as we have to get through both the guys and the girls tonight on American Idol 2013. As you may remember, the judges left us with 28 guys after their solo rounds were complete and now they must cut eight more guys and then give us the names of the 20 girls who have made it to Las Vegas.

There are instant eliminations again tonight on American Idol Hollywood Week Part 4, as with the guys last week. A group of ladies will come out and sing and then every eight singers we will find out who moves on and who goes home! Will your favorites make the American Idol 2013 Top 40? Here we go…the night starts with Angela Miller sitting at the piano and singing a song she wrote herself. Where was this girl up until this point people??? We also get to see Candice Glover and Janelle Arthur, but can they deliver like Angela did? Not on the same level as Angela sang, but they both sound very good.

Not only is Zoanette Johnson bringing a drum set onstage, but she is also releasing the girls while she plays and is letting loose. Get ready for this people! She made up the song on stage and tells the band they are going too fast. It was weird and awkward, but the judges loved it.

Moving on: Angela Miller, Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur and Zoanette Johnson.
Going home: Kiara Lanier from the Chicago auditions.

Next group: Shuba Vedula nails a Mariah Carey song and Juliana Chahayed impresses Nicki Minaj. Kez Ban goes shopping with Zoanette to get a new look and sings an original song and falls flat on her face. The judges talk and they send Kez Ban home, who then tries to get a job with Idol as a runner to get water for Ryan Seacrest! They never said, but I guess Shuba and Juliana made it through?

Next group: Ashlee Feliciano is feeling sick, but makes it through her audition sounding very good and hits that big note. Randy Jackson said she sounded so serious and it is supposed to be fun. The sad mood continues until Melinda Ademi comes in singing a Jessie J song and brightens the mood. Kree Harrison brings it back down, but has a very good voice. The judges haven’t seen a star in her though, but I think she has it. Do you?

Moving on: Kree Harrison and Melinda Ademi
Going home: Briana Oakley, Ashlee Feliciano and Sarina-Joi Crowe

The end of the day comes and there are 24 girls that have moved through. Randy asked for Lauren Mink, Holly Marie Miller and Ariel Sprague and those four girls are now going home. Now with 21 left, the American Idol judges ask Stephanie Schimel and Rachel Hale to sing one more time for their life. The judges discuss and they send Stephanie home, which means Rachel is part of the Top 20 Girls on American Idol 2013!

Now on to the boys! Eight of them will go home tonight. The judges want to hear these guys: Adam Sanders (it was a rough song) and Josh Holiday (he sang great and even ripped his pants while singing. The judges have heard enough and ask Peter Garrett, Marvin Calderon, Devan Jones, Kenny Harrison, Will White, Tony Foster, David Leathers, Jr. and Adam Sanders to step forward. They will all be headed home and now we have a Top 20 Guys and Top 20 Girls on American Idol 2013 and it is now on to Vegas!
