It all boils down to this tonight on American Idol 2014, as the Top 3 on American Idol Season 13 wait for Ryan Seacrest to announce the American Idol results! Two of them will be happy and in the American Idol finale next week, but one of them will go home a week shy! Last night on American Idol Season 13, we saw the Top 3 take on three songs each. We saw their Hometown Visits and we saw the show celebrate it;s 500th episode, which is crazy to think about! It seems like the American Idol judges 2014 have been rooting for a Jena Irene and Caleb Johnson finale, but were their performances enough last night to earn that? It is a toss-up at this point, but we are pulling for Alex!

Here we go…Ryan Seacrest comes out with his puppy for show. The judges are present and now we get to see the Top 3 after the show and eating and analyzing the night! Who was your favorite of the night?

We then get to see the Ford video of the week, which happened to show snippets of the songs the Top 3 would each single for their coronation song! You can download them tonight on iTunes, which is new!

Now we get to see the Hometown Visits from last week and up first is Jena Irene. She got to see her dogs and eat some coney dogs. She gets to see her family and go in the basement and sit down where it all began for her and the keyboard she played at. She got a parade and a key to the city and performed a concert at her high school. How exciting for her and a ton of people there in my home state, Michigan! Seeing her grandparents cry because of being proud of her is so nice, and of course brings tears to my eyes! Ryan then tells her for the Idol Finale, she will join forces and perform with Paramore!!!

Time to take a break for a performance, as we see Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery take the stage and perform his new single “Feelin’ It” and he is a cutie! He has worked it out since his victory, so good for him! He gets a kiss from Jennifer Lopez during the performance and Keith and Harry are upset he didn’t come to them for the kiss!

The next Hometown Visit we get to see is from Alex Preston. He does some radio shows, but then he goes home and his parents are already making me cry! He got a special visit from the members of his high school band. He was worried about people showing up for him, but he packed the place and has a ton of support at home. Another parade and concert and more tears from me! For his Idol Finale news, he will be singing with Jason Mraz!

The final Hometown Visit on American Idol 2014 is for Caleb Johnson and we can see him lose his voice from this trip! He visits the Rock Academy and does some radio interviews. He sees his family, gets the day declared for him and gets to perform with his band. He gets the parade and screaming fans! For his Idol Finale, Caleb will be singing with KISS!

Here we go and the Top 3 are on the stage and Ryan Seacrest is about the announce the American Idol results 2014! The first person to compete in the finale is:

This is what the producers and judges wanted, as we have a Caleb-Jena finale. Sadly, we see Alex Preston eliminated tonight on American Idol 2014!
