*****************************************************************************************

Here we go…apparently we will get a special performances from Orianthi tonight for some reason, as she plays the guitar with the performances. The Top 7 come out and we are ready to get this thing started tonight!

Burnell Taylor – He sings “You Give Love A Bad Name” by Bon Jovi. He seems to miss the start of the song with the lyrics and it seemed to just get worse from there. Rock is not the genre for Burnell, clearly, and this was a rough performance for me. He looks awkward on stage and his voice is just weird to me. I have not been a fan all season and this performance didn’t help him. Maybe an exit tomorrow night?

Lazaro Arbos and Angie Miller – The first duet of the night is “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. I actually didn’t mind Lazaro on this song, but Angie was not that great. The song was kind of boring to me and nothing special, but these duets or trios never seem to impress me. And Lazaro forgets the lyrics again and Nicki Minaj politely calls him out on it!

Kree Harrison – She sings “Piece Of My Heart” by Janis Joplin. I love me some Kree on American Idol 2013. She takes on classic rock and janis Joplin and nails it. She puts her little country twang on it and I love it. Kree is a solid performer and singer and she knows what she wants to be as a signer and it shows. Good job girl!

Candice Glover and Burnell Taylor – For their duet, they sing “The Letter” by The Box Tops. As expected, Burnell is not good and Candice is amazing. Candice has such a great voice and she can work these rock songs with it. Burnell has a decent voice and it falls short with the rock genre. Again, I am not a fan of him! What do you think?

Janelle Arthur – She sings “You May Be Right” by Billy Joel. Kree put her country twist on her performance, but Janelle stumbles in her performance. This was, at best, a decent karaoke performance. I have been liking Janelle more and more each week, but this did not impress me at all. Were you a fan?

Lazaro Arbos – He sings “We Are The Champions” by Queen. I think he does a decent job with this Queen song. He seems pretty confident in this performance and has a solid performance. I can like his voice when he sounds good and he sounded good. Nicki was loving it and it was crack juice, so he impressed her tonight. Is that a good thing?

Janelle, Amber Holcomb and Kree – The trio tonight is “It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me” by Billy Joel. Janelle is better in this performance, so that might help her out this week. Kree, of course, shines and I love her. Amber is not that great, but I did not like her in the trio before and maybe she should stick to solos on American Idol Season 12? The judges loved it and a nice blending.

Candice Glover – She sings “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones. Like Kree, I love me some Candice and am rooting for a Candice and Kree finale! She takes the song and rocks it out. She has some parts where she seems to be trying a little too hard, but I still think she will be quite fine tonight! Nicki said she fell asleep during that song as well.

Amber Holcomb – She sings “What About Love” by Heart. To earn some votes tonight on Idol, Amber will wear some short shorts and show off those legs. Are you dialing yet??? She sings well and has a great voice, but I will go with Nicki on this and it made me fall asleep! Nicki was awake on this song though and loved it and Randy Jackson loved the legs!

A quick look at both Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua Ledet from Season 11, which happened to be a way better season. Then Hollie gets some hugs and love from her idol Mariah Carey!

Angie Miller – She sings “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence. How exactly is this a classic rock song? It was released in 2003, so ten years makes it a classic? Anyway, they turn the winds on her curly hair and I am not a fan. This is a song we all have an idea of hos it sounds and her voice does not stand up to the original and she did nothing different to change it and make it her own. I am disappointed in her. Apparently this is the type of album she would love to make and the judges loved it.
