The American Idol 2013 premiere kicks off tonight on FOX and I could not be any happier, but not for the reasons you think. I am just sick of the hype and the talk of American Idol Season 12 and the new American Idol judges and the feud between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Can we just get to the American Idol 2013 auditions and see what kind of singers we have to look forward to please? With all the new talent this season, it looks like the judges are pulling out some early American Idol 2013 predictions and saying a girl will win this season!

People magazine got a chance to talk with American Idol judges Keith Urban, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj about the talent for this upcoming season and Randy and Nicki were both gushing over the girls. Could a girl finally win American Idol Season 12? The last girl to be crowned champion: Jordin Sparks back during American Idol Season 6! That is just insane, but it is also the power of the voting and those teen girls out there voting for the cute guy!


Apparently Nicki and Randy are thinking and hoping American Idol 2013 will bring a different outcome. Randy Jackson said: “Girls, do not disappoint the Dawg. I think it’s the girls’ year. There are some talented boys, but I must say, I think the girls could really win one. We haven’t had a girl winner in so long.” He would know, since he has been there from the beginning!

As far as Nicki Minaj, she said: “The girls are exceptional. I mean, a girl will definitely win this year, I think.” Not too confident, but she did add that they are more mature and are ready to go out and make an album now!
