American Idol 2012 sent home Erika Van Pelt tonight. Erika Van Pelt was unsurprisingly in the bottom three. She did an amazing job, but she also went second and her performance was surpassed by so many memorable performances later in the night. Deandre Brackensick and Heejun Han were also in jeopardy.

After Heejun’s stint last night, he ended up safe and Erika was eliminated from the competition. Last night’s take on “New York State of Mind” was more impressive than what she chose tonight, which was Whitney Houston’s “I Believe in You and Me”. Unfortunately, the judges didn’t think the singer/deejay would win the entire competition if they kept her around.Heejun promised “something crazier” was coming next week if he were to stick around.
