TNT is trying it’s hand at reality TV tonight, as 72 Hours on TNT premieres with host Brandon Johnson leading the way as nine complete strangers are dropped off on a deserted island with only a water bottle and GPS! TNT’s 72 Hours reality show is a new twist on Survivor and The Amazing Race and could get the winning team $100,000, but how do they survive 72 hours with just one bottle of water? 72 Hours on TNT Premiere Preview

72 Hours is hosted by Brandon Johnson, from Disney’s Shake It Up. Per the show’s website, this is the premise:


“72 Hours will drop competing teams of strangers into the wilderness, leaving them with only a single bottle of water and a GPS tracking device as their guide. The teams will then have just three days to form strategic bonds, hike across treacherous terrain, battle the elements and make difficult survival choices, all in a quest to be the first to find a hidden briefcase full of $100,000 cash.”

Three teams will compete against each other and all are complete strangers! They work together to earn that $100,000 and things could get crazy. They will need food and more water, so watch for some drama and tension among these strangers. Thursday nights during the summer bring us not many options for reality TV, so I am excited to see what TNT has in store for us with 72 Hours Season 1.
