The Voice USA 2015 Spoilers - Voice Top 8 Performances

Last week on The Voice 2015 Season 8, the Voice Top 10 took the stage on Monday night and delivered some stellar performances. Despite my issues with Sawyer Fredericks the last couple weeks, you all still loved his performance and put him in the Top 10 on iTunes. With all the great performance, it did mean we would have a difficult decision to make for the Voice Results show. In the end, Joshua Davis got the Voice Save and we had to say goodbye to Deanna Johnson from Team Adam and Rob Taylor from Team Christina.

Here we go…we have a big night with the Voice Reunion, Blake Shelton performing and Matt McAndrew returning to perform also! We start with the Voice Top 8 performing together and another fun start to the night! Now to the performances!

Hannah Kirby (Team Blake) – “We Don’t Need Another Hero” by Tina Turner

Cee Lo said if he was still there he would have stolen her away to his team by now! To be honest, this was a great song choice for Hannah. Her voice sounded great on it and she has so much fun up there, even if it is a slower song. They even bring the kids out for this one and she has fun with them!

Joshua Davis (Team Adam) – “Fields of Gold” by Sting

He said this is him swinging for the fences on this song. I think Joshua has a very good voice and he can sing these songs well, but I say it every week: he doesn’t seem like a star to me. This is a slow song and it just seemed to never end in my mind!

Kimberly Nichole (Team Christina) – “Creep” by Radiohead

They wanted to strip her down and let her walls down for this performance. Well, it worked! We have heard this song a lot of times on these singing competition shows, but this was amazing. She put all of the emotions into that performance. Her voice is always amazing, but this was phenomenal.

A break from the performances, as Blake takes the stage to perform his new single “Sangria.” I just love this man, no matter what he is doing!

Meghan Linsey (Team Blake) – “Something” by The Beatles

I feel that Meghan is such a seasoned performer and I expect her to do well every performance, so it usually bores me unless she does something amazing. This was something amazing. This was a great song choice and she brought it from deep to hit some of those notes.

India Carney (Team Christina) – “Over the Rainbow”

She said that she first sang this at summer camp when she was like 11 years old. This one started slow for me and I was a little worried. I think India has an amazing voice, but not sure about this song choice. She kicked it in in the middle and sounded amazing, like normal.

Many people thought that Matt McAndrew would be the winner last season, but that did not happen. However, he is back again this season, but this time to perform his new single “Counting on Love” and we are a fan of it! What did you think?

Sawyer Fredericks (Team Pharrell) – “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd

He is beyond awkward when meeting Gwen Stefani, but that is why we love Sawyer, right? I have been harping on Sawyer the past couple weeks, as I thought his performances lacked something. Whatever that something was, he found it tonight! I loved this performance and I loved the song choice. He sounded so good and he walked around the stage, so he is breaking out of shell a little bit and I liked seeing that!

Corey Kent White (Team Blake) – “When I See You Smile” by Bad English

Blake said that Corey needs to rattle the fences and thinks this song could do it. Corey seems hesitant about the song and it is a rock song, but Blake thinks it would be a country song if it was released today. I am agreeing with Blake on this one, as Corey nailed this performance and it was such a proper song choice for him. He hit the emotions of the song and was working the crowd. Great performance and song choice!

Koryn Hawthorne (Team Pharrell) – “Girl On Fire” by Alicia Keys

She killed it last week with her performance, as she made it into the Top 10 on iTunes. Can she keep it up with this performance? It’s tough to take on an Alicia Keys song, but she just nailed it. She gets all shaky when she sings, but she is feeling those lyrics. They slowed this one down and she dug deep and I loved it!

That’s it for tonight! Who was your favorite?
